Wakefield is throwing a No Hitter into the 7th inning ! He only threw 39 pitches in the first 5 innings.

Call the Marlins and get Hanley Ramirez that is what they were talking about last week on EEI. I would pull the trigger and send Bucholz ,Ellsbury and anyone else the Marlins need for Ramirez. And this will happen sooner than you think , the owners will not sit around and watch this anemic offense. The pitching will come around , Masterson looked great last night .

It's only 8 games. Last night when Dice K was warming up I noticed that he grimaced a few times while throwing are they sure its only fatigue ? Also Remy questioned his right hip saying that Dice K was grabbing at it?....i dunno i didn't see this unless thats why he was grimacing in the bullpen.

Oh come on Beckett was not throwing at him i agree with what Dan said. I think the ump was probably saying that the timeout was too late ...In fact they give out waaaay too many time outs tell the batter to get in the box and stay there till they throw the pitch. Also Abreu didn't move usually the batter backs up far from the plate after calling time out. The batter doesn't back away until the ump grants the time out. We're talking about a matter of probably one second between the time the TO was called and the delivery of the pitch. Well you have never seen Julio Lugo call time out he practically runs out of the batters box into the visitors dugout while calling for a timeout !!!!!!

Bump with New Additions

Last night Lou Merloni said that the abdominal strain is tied into the oblique. He said he was very concerned with this injury and until he sees Pedroia play a few games he will be very nervous about this injury. I don't know any thing about muscle groups but Merloni seemed very wary of this injury. It also seems that Bay wants to test the free agent market ,this is not really good news.

Great ...he said he might of been pushing too hard . When will the owners put a stop to the WBC ?

It was nice seeing Lowell last night and Papi hitting home runs . Remy thought Ortiz looked good and was encouraged he could turn on an inside fastball and drive it out of the park something last year he could not do because of his wrist. Bard looked impressive , he hit 98 on the gun !!!!! I think Wake is close to finish and this is probably his last hoorah, with all these young guys coming and improving it might be time at the end of the year to say goodbye.

Just watched the A-Roid press conference ..that was painful. Billy Ripkin had some interesting things to say on MLB network. Like ,when A-Rod did this stuff he was a major leaguer for 8 years and A-Rod keeps saying he was young and naive Ripkin didn't buy it.
