  1. i am on the phone with a completely psychotic chewy, who is rambling in a incoherent and manic way about the session info for the following records: Charlie Parker live sessions on phoenix records -PHX-322 "on the tape it says Phoenix 10. The songs listed are the following: 'Round midnight 5:04, Move 4:48, Hothouse 4:11, (Side B) How High the Moon 2:46, Street Beat 6:59, Out of Nowhere 3:15, KoKo 2:49" I made a unsuccessful attempt to help chewy by looking up the miles ahead charlie parker database, but it was no go and chewy was having ADHD because the record store was closing. Please someone him so i dont have to deal with him. hes going totally mental because he saw a hot girl at work and had a wet dream about shorty rogers
  2. Bola Sete is the man. I bought a Odeon Reissue of his self titled album when i was in brazil and i was floored by his skills. he is the grant green of samba music
  3. totally. miles is the puff daddy of jazz
  4. Mr. brownie, which of solal's earlier, reissued albums would you recommend? How about his recordings with Lee K.?
  5. those are some amazing album covers
  6. can any of you recommend any other DVDs with early lee and/or warne footage? (are there any?)
  7. oh yes chewy is real. real crazy. i get nightly phone calls from him regarding his record collecting exploits and forays into chinatown to sing karaoke versions of phil collins songs. his mind is a wasteland of westcoast jazz, 80s sitcoms and genesis trivia. one of a kind!
  8. in regards to your comment jazzshrink, believe it or not, chewy and i are distinct individuals. i could never lay claim to the perverted, jazz-warped mind of mr. chewy. i invite you to compare the IP addresses if you want to have my account deleted. And so far it seems that no one knows who mustafa ozkent is...
  9. no I'm not Chewy, although chewy and I do go way back. I personally have witnessed him "slam" a chile relleno in less than 20 seconds. its a thing of wonder
  10. does anyone else care for the delicious jazz funk of this Turkish Wizard?
