  1. Toronto Argonauts 39....Calgary Stampeders 36 http://www.sportsnetwork.com/merge/tsnform.aspx?c=sportsnetwork&page=cfl/news/news.aspx?id=4511906 http://www.tsn.ca/cfl/story/?id=400133 Noel Prefontaine kicked a field goal on the last play of the game to win it. Drew Tate slipped and fell and hurt his shoulder in the first quarter. He will be out indefinitely. The case can be made that Kevin Glenn is the league's best second-string quarterback.
  2. At this afternoon's game the Argos will honor the '71 team. Joe Theismann is there, and here is an interview with him. http://www.tsn.ca/cfl/story/?id=400115 Interesting that he says that the Stamps' defensive front was the best he played against in his pro career, better than the Raiders' or the Steelers'.

The Als were much better than last week, and led the whole game. Buck Pierce played nearly all the game for the Bombers.

  15. Let's bump this up for today's free $3 Amazon credit. Anybody got anything else for less than $3 or so?
  16. Amazon Local is offering today only a free $3 mp3 credit. http://local.amazon.com/raleigh/ PS - US customers only.
  17. I've had a chance to listen to the new Lyrical, Vol. 1, and I think that if it were on a major label, it would have a good chance of being a top ten-selling jazz album of the year. Suggs wrote the lyrics to all of the songs. Most of the songs are mainstream jazz classics, like Armageddon, Footprints, Infant Eyes, Ceora, Stablemates, Virgo and Lady Bird. I like the songs, and I like Suggs' singing, so I like the album. I'm confident that it will get plenty of airplay on Sirius.
  18. I've found a couple more. The Essence of George Russell - $1.78 http://www.amazon.com/The-Essence-Of-George-Russell/dp/B002BLZXY4/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_nC?ie=UTF8&coliid=I3DW2EG2183478&colid=RVSBV717YT9 ***** George Russell - Electronic Sonata - 1968 - $1.78 http://www.amazon.com/Electronic-Sonata-1968/dp/B002BLW5NQ/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_nC?ie=UTF8&coliid=I1GM5T4P8U66XG&colid=RVSBV717YT9

  20. Happy Independence day 2012, everyone! Pete, Canadians celebrate their being bumped up from colonial to dominion status in the British Empire on July 1, 1867, Dominion Day. The 1967 World's Fair commemorated the centennial. In recent years the fellows who changed the flag also renamed the holiday Canada Day. So far, the red-blooded Canadians haven't pushed back, but we'll see.
  21. I'd rather use "Four In One". Or "Trinkle, Tinkle". Did it shout "Guarachi Guaro" too? I think so, yes.
