Noj, a "screen" superimposed upon the regular screen, covering about 90% of the monitor screen, came up and said that I was eligible. At the bottom were two buttons, to accept and to reject. It just appeared - I didn't do anything for it to come up. My total bill was $185, so I am assuming that it came up because of the size of my order. But it didn't give me any explanation.

Perhaps those of you who are big spenders already know about this. When Amazon released its Kindle Fire tablet a few weeks ago (for $199), it announced that with the purchase one would get a free one-month trial of Amazon Prime. I don't know a great deal about Amazon Prime, so I will let those who already have it discuss its benefits. Anyway, today I ordered a space heater for $168, and qualified for the free one-month trial. Apparently it is the size of the purchase rather than the item itself that determines whether you qualify. I figured I had nothing to lose, so I signed up. I've already written a note in my calendar to cancel before they charge me for the year.

We've done so many, I've forgotten who's already been done. I don't think we've done this person or photo yet.

Maybe it's just me, but I'm not seeing the box bargains this year like we saw last Christmas. Most of our recent talk seems to be centered on European PD releases. Am I wrong?

aloc, my friends are surprised when I tell them that nowadays with the internet it is easier for an American to be a CFL fan than a fan of another league. 1) There are only eight teams to keep track of and get to know the players. 2) There are only four games per week. Their radio broadcasts are all available for free on the internet. They are all played at different times, so when you choose to listen to one, you are not also choosing to miss another. 3) There are many newspaper articles about the league on the internet, so there is no shortage of available news. ***** The Argos made it official Thursday that they are hiring Montreal offensive coordinator Scott Milanovich as their new head coach. Two Lions decided to go out on top and retired today - Jamal Robertson and Ryan Thelwell.
