It's the most economic way for me to hear the music. I found that I was spending far too much before on individual discs. This prevents me from buying too much and encourages careful listening before moving onto the next set.

Yeah, believe it or not, I'm on to box sets now.

Well, I must admit this isn't setting a good precedent. I can only hope Paul has a valid reason for his actions. I'm willing to give the guy the benefit of the doubt, but I hope he's aware that he will probably find it very difficult to convince people to buy from him again on the board. It's too bad. This board is a terrific resource for selling/replenishing music.

Well, at this point, I do think there's some explanation needed for the people involved.

Has anyone heard from him? Are these matters being resolved?

Dan: Hence, my statement, "take it from me." I've been called out more times than I care to recall on this board. It's way off base. You should know better than anyone (i.e. your issues with Chuck Nessa) that these dicussions go nowhere. People need to show some understanding and just relax. There should be no debate as to how any transaction goes down. That's for the parties involved. If one wants to know whether they should buy from a seller, set up a forum where people can review transactions and decide based on that.

Mark, There is no need to call people out publicly. It's embarrasing for everyone involved. Take it from me...it never works out, and everyone just gets more pissed off. I think a feedback forum, similar to Ebay, would be very useful on this board. That way there is no embarrassment, and sellers can be held accountable. I will say there is no excuse for improper grading of cds/lps/etc. Nevertheless, cooler heads must prevail in these situations. I don't think calling anyone out is going to make them move any faster to appease the situation. If anything, it just makes matters worse.

This thread is not in good taste. If I could make a suggestion to the board moderators. Would it be possible to set up a "feedback system" where people can report on their transactions? These threads serve no purpose other than to get everyone riled up.

I thought I would give a heads up to those interested in this set. The last three have gone for less than $110.00 on Ebay. I just purchased one for $99 SEALED! Get it now. I'm really looking forward to hearing this set and various others I will have purchased in the next few weeks! Heads up Marty!

I haven't had a great find in awhile, but some real doozies have popped up in the past. The best has to be Stanley Turrentine's "Z.T.'s Blues" for $6.99 CA.

I've bought from this seller before, but I'm somewhat suspicious when they post multiple copies of the same item for sale at different prices. Is the shrink wrapping tighter on one set or something!?!?!

I'll put it into perspective for you Paul... After selling the majority of my collection, the final discs that I kept was this Mosaic to start over. This music is lush, and fantastic. It's amazing how much solo space he provides his band. You won't regret this purchase!!

Customers waiting a year to receive items is enough to turn me off. Plus, I nee dto save my $$$ for a potential big buy from a board member who shall remain anonymous.

I ordered, but then reconsidered. The customer reviews on this site are horrible. I'm also going to contact my credit card company in the event that they ignore my cancellation request and charge me for the items.

I've owned the Holiday set before and remember the sound quality of the recordings to be understandably bad. I'm looking forward to eventually getting the Young set. I've heard conflicting opinions on this set (along with the Billie holiday Verve Set). Does anyone have an opinion on the content of this set? Is it an accurate portrayal Young - the man- & Young - the musician? Thanks.

Collector's Choice.

Does anyone have an opinion on this massive set? I recently sold much of my collection and decided to get back into jazz slowly by buying box sets from artists that I haven't explored in depth. As such, I thought 16 CDs on Trane (though I've had half of these discs before...) should suffice for a few months. Are the actual CDs in this box the OJC editions with liner notes or is it entirely new packaging? I'm shopping around trying to get the best price possible. Any comments on this set would be greatly appreciated.
