Disc 1 Purchased this recently from Dusty Groove for basically the same price Mosaic Records once sold this for. I already own the Bud Shank big box Mosaic and felt I couldn't go wrong here. So far, so very good.

I've thought about purchasing this from time to time but never pulled the trigger. I never understood that since I especially enjoy large group ensembles. Could you please provide a few thoughts on this set?

Speaking of Duke. I really enjoyed this one.

I heard a track off this a short time ago and it sounds outstanding. The dj listed the players on this date and it sounds like a must have. What say you?

I have to wonder how much of this will be on the upcoming Bootleg Vol. 6. I don't have any of the Olympia material currently.

Another plug. The past few weeks Ken has been devoting his shows to the Lighthouse in Hermosa Beach. He's been playing recordings also which have never been commercially available. More reason to check this show out. The series continues now and is available on demand. Great show if you love West Coast Jazz.
