I try to wait until most of the leaves fall before venturing out and beginning what has become a favorite activity of mine next to shoveling snow (sarcasm). There seems to be less of them this year as a result of a developement being built behind my property. Unfortunately a large number of trees have been removed from the once wooded property. The city I live in allows us the option of either bagging the leaves in paper bags(no plastic!) for curbside removal once a week or simply dumping the leaves in a large pile next to the street for eventual removal. The downside is the neighbor's leaves across the street eventually find there way into my yard for me to further rake.

Female stylist here. She's been cutting my hair for nearly 15 years. She's very attractive which of course has nothing to do with why I keep going back. I usually spend $25 which is abit on the high end, but I don't mind paying it. You get what you pay for. She's actually responsible for setting me up with a girlfriend of hers years ago, who eventually became my wife.

The temps here neared 70 early in the day, before the big plunge with the arrival of the rains. Having a job which requires me to work outside(postman), it was most likely my last opportunity to break out the shorts till next spring. It's been a great fall for the most part here in the northeast.

I'm very pleased to have come across this thread. I'm presently listening to 'Four' by Hampton Hawes which many I'm sure already know features the fine work of Mr. Kessel. I really enjoy his work on this album and was looking for some recommendations on his individual releases. Looks like I have a few already to go by. Thanks.

Well I for one, would be interested in purchasing those earlier sets I missed the boat on. I came along late in the game and envy you guys who were fortunate enough to grab those amazing sets when they were available. I'm sure I'm not the only one who would be interested, but the likelyhood of that happening at this point is probably nill.

Thanks to all for the many great recommendations. I've seen the McKusick available from Amazon used for $17.85 for 2 discs which is a pretty darn good price. I may take the plunge with this one and if it's to my liking, followup on some of the other suggestions. The Hank Jones 'New York Rhythm Section' sounds like a good choice as well. I'm very glad to see the Hank Mobley set is still available. I already own a good amount of his recordings from Soul Station going forward, but next to nothing prior. Looks like a great Christmas present for me. Thanks to all on this forum for making mention of this excellent set.
