I dug up this old thread mainly because I've been interested in acquiring some of there titles. The Compositions of Bobby Scott and the Benny Bailey In Sweden are just two recent purchases I've made. I've already taken notes of some of the suggestions in this very lengthy thread for future purchases. I can't say if anyone might be interested in reviving this thread. But I would certainly welcome peoples input since 6 years have passed since the last posting.

For some reason, I didn't own this prior to my very recent visit to San Diego. I came across a used record store in O.B.(Ocean Beach) that carried a pretty respectable jazz section. Got this along with a few other discs at a very reasonable price. Yeah, some very good Sonny here.

Now or never for the Mobley. One of my favorite Mosaics.

I guess you can file this one under learn something new every day. I never knew Bud Shank played the flute solo on the Mamas and Papas " California Dreamin' " I imagine all you guys knew that already, huh?

Hey I'm a huge fan anyway. Anything the man put down, I enjoy.

Saw them tour with Dylan many years ago. A very good show. I enjoyed much of his music over the years, Saddened to come across the news earlier today. It sucks getting older.
