That must be the mythical Alpha-International DB 92 EP - mega rare. Very limited local Newcastle pressing, I don't think many copies ever found their way south of Scotch Corner ! That must be it. It got a terrific review in Jazz Journal at the time. I would have found it at Rays or Dobells.

This takes me back. II used to have an EP by the Emcee 5. Can't recall the label now but it had the Carrs and Gary Cox. One of the compositions was Northumbrian Air. I guess I must have sold it years ago. A foolish thing in retrospect..

I don't recall ever seeing John Stevens there except as a customer. Drummer Mark Taylor, now resident in New York, worked there on Saturdays for quite a while.
