  1. Huh, her touching it must have created a "cold" spot, some sorta vacuum, causing it to go boom. Boy, I bet she's got egg on her face.
  2. Speedy Gonzalez Pepe LePue(sp) Maurice Chevalier
  3. Holy shit! I did 90 on a bike, got so scared that I thought about jumping off...never again.
  4. This is the first I've heard of his stage persona, Bip the Clown. Marcel Marceau is all I knew him by. Maybe the Bip the Clown moniker caused unfulfilled expectations of being "funny," and disappointment to some of you. When I watched him I was amazed at his pure skill of mime, funny or not.
  5. Ok, Marsha and Jan and ME.
  6. I must have been a weird kid; I was hot for the robot! We'll leave you with the house hold products and be in the room down the hall with the women. It's better than a plastic hose and other inanimate objects...the women squeeze you back and are really soft and talk back. It's fun. Oh...OK, it's more than fun. In the meantime... Not Jan or Marsha...no, no...Jan and Marsha. Oh yeah...Jan and Marsha. Phew...Jan and Marsha. Oh gosh... Oh...are you really sure this is just a rumor? Take a shower.
  7. ummm, ala mode?

  9. Why, that preverted sumbitch. A must-read.
  10. Seems like "dink" can mean about anything you want. Up those assholes dink.
  11. To think, Howard Hughes had a taste of that.
  12. I didn't think he intended to be funny. He was super at what he did though, what an imagination!
  13. Alfred E. Newman Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers Dick Tracy
  14. Stir-fried veggies w/spaghetti, a glass of apple juice w/metamucal and assorted vitamin pills.
  15. Tiny Tim Daisey Mae Clampett Jethro Bodine
  16. Yum yum, boiled chicken carcass.
  17. I don't recall ever watching the Match Game. I thought I had, but I got it confused with Hollywood Squares. They had some common participants. Damned if the early Hollywood Squares wasn't some funny shit.
  18. Rip Brett Somers.
  19. Huh? I know "vig," but never've heard of PITA(except the bread). 'Splain, por favor. PITA is, as Lon explained on p1, "pain in the arse" (or "ass", west of Ireland). Someone saying "pain in the arse" is trying to be rude to or about someone/thing. Reducing it to a set of initials takes away the rudeness. So it's a euphemism. I don't usually do euphemism. I'm much more likely to call it a fucking shovel. Which is why it didn't immediately occur to me that PITA meant "pain in the arse". See? MG Ooooooh. I just thought, PITA being a bread, and bread being slang for money, hence the vig is the bread/money. PainInTheAss is most likely though.
  20. Translation: We're sorry we hired a bunch of dumbasses to make our toys? Anyhow, Mattel has to take ultimate responsibility [surely it didn't think it could skirt the health laws, e.g. lead paint, by manufacturing outside the US?].
  21. Huh? I know "vig," but never've heard of PITA(except the bread). 'Splain, por favor.
  22. Dilbert Blondi Beetle Bailey
  23. Interesting, I've not heard of DAD. Just curious, can a DAD be played on a CD player? You have to have a CD player with DAD capabilities? [i assume there's no question on a DVD player.]
  24. Many, almost any tune can do that to me, depending on my mood. The most consistent ones are Mingus's Better Get Hit In Yo' Soul, from Mingus Mingus, etc. and any of the tunes on CHARLES MINGUS PRESENTS CHARLES MINGUS. They grab my attention, get the blood flowing, can change my moods.
  25. I've never had a problem with PayPal. Their 2% money collecting fee for sellers is OK, if you don't forget to factor it into the selling price.
