  19. I've seen that coming for a long time, it ain't rocket science; diversity without assimilation, scio-economic classes, etc.
  20. Y'all're probably correct. I never watched MG at night, just the morning/afternoon(syndicated) shows. Wasn't that Nancy Sinatra, of "These Boots Were Made For Walking" fame, that sang "The Beat Goes On?" No wait, that was Sonny and Cher that did "The Beat Goes On(?)." I didn't know Rich had a daughter, much less a singing daughter until I clicked the link in this thread.
  21. Eli Whitney(sp) Jim Crow Colonel Sanders
  22. Oh, come on. There is some fine music you're missing out on. I have a modest collection, mainly compilations. I dig it and listen to the 50s and 60s channels on sirius radio often. Great music to grill or cook by... Oh oh oh oh I got a girl named Rama Lama, Rama Lama Ding dong she's everything to me Rama Lama, Rama Lama Ding dong I'll never set her free For she's mine, all mine Oh oh oh oh I got a girl named Rama Lama, Rama Lama Ding Dong, She's fine to me, Rama Lama, Rama Lama Ding dong You don't believe that she's mine, all mine I love her, love her, lover her so. That I'll never, never let her go. You may be certain she's mine, all mine, She's mine all of the time. Oh I got a girl named Rama Lama, Rama Lama Ding dong she's everything to me Rama Lama, Rama Lama Ding dong I'll never set her free For she's mine, all mine Is that a bonifide Doo-wopper? If so, oh gawd, I think I'm gonna hurl. I didn't care for that stuff the first time around either. I was more into Fats Domino, Jerry Lee Lewis, Little Richard and Smelvis Presley; never cared for Chuck Berry either. Don't pay attention to any of it anymore; PBS's fundraisers broke me, for sure.
  23. Harriet Tubman Heinrich Boll Bob Dishy Neal & Bob Bob Crosby Neal Armstrong
  24. Pretty sure the bandleader was Mort Lindsey. Maybe so, but, if I recall correctly, Sheldon was featured and mentioned quite a bit. Maybe Lindsey left and Sheldon took over(?). Also, I don't recall a big band, per se, just three of four horns, etc.
