  3. Johnny Appleseed Ber Rabbit Eddie Rabbitt
  4. Every image that I post on the Board comes out in reduced size no matter what size I start with. My question is: How to post a non-reduced size image? You know, I put it within the allowable boundaries, then I simply transfer/post in that size. And, what are the allowable perimeters? [The Search Function steered me to this thread.] thanks
  5. I thought maybe my opinion might be too personal and nobody wants to hear that shit.
  6. Is that the one/act that contains the guy running out in front of cars being in the "insurance" business?
  7. I bet pwn is derived from "pawn," maybe secondhand, a "lowly" form of ownership, eventhough wikipedia didn't say.
  8. The only way I'd play for a church is for money.
  9. Johnny Rivers Niles Chamberlain Wilt Chamberlain
  10. Dunno what this means - please explain. MG "Cooked to be as still firm when bitten."
  11. Should I delete the above post? I hate to be a thread killer, like that anyhow.
  12. If Monk had a mental illness and/or used drugs it was kept pretty much a secret. I hope and suspect the incident culminating in his wandering the airport grounds was an isolated incident. 'Course, Horrywood's gotta make money....And, everything has to relate to today's crowd, the now generation. Jazz music isn't currently popular, but dope and "sensationalism" is. Personally I think Monk's music, the musicians and their interactions and families would be sensational enough for a flick.
  13. If built correctly, the mudslide should have no affect on a house's foundation. My house is built on a hillside (though not with those frightening pillars - they scare even me!) but it's built on concrete pilings that go down 40 feet into the bedrock. It's rock and not "mud," of course, but even if the hillside that our house was built on were to wash away, the house would still be standing on its foundation supports. Exactly what happened to my old house...before it burned in the Oakland Hills fire. Geez...you can't win for losing.
  14. That's what peeves me off, then the bank turns around and pays you like 2% or less interest on your savings account.
  15. Help My Wife and I Eat Better and Lose Weight, Share Your Favorite HEALTHY Recipes Not to be impertinent, but, have you considered gastric bypass surgery? [i'm looking into it.]
  16. It hit 107 yesterday according to the am paper. I registered only 105 in the yard. It was still the hottest weather that I've experience in my 60+ years of existence.
  17. Steven Tyler Mick Jagger Linda Lovelace
  18. No offense to anyone, but, I couldn't care less. Woodstock and that whole generation didn't/hasn't done squat to further jazz, has had only negative consequences. Fuck Woodstock and its historical significance.
  19. They might can make Snipes a good fit portraying Monk. Sounds good as long as they retain musical and biographical authenticity and don't use "profiling" as the main focus, using JLo's fine ass, etc. as the centerpiece of the film. [i didn't read the complete articles/links.]
  20. It was 101 about an hour ago, it's supposed to hit 105 today. I've never ever experienced heat like this.
  21. Edith Bunker Sally Struthers Meathead
  22. I feel for you. Part of my brain died from overload. Good luck with the job.
  23. Point taken. I take it building on a mudslide prone mountain is sorta a status symbol much like living on/having lake front property(?). From what I hear mudslides are a pretty regular event. Hurricanes not so much in my immediate area, not even if you live in a flood zone. Of course insurance companies and news shows will have you believe differently. Personally, I wouldn't live in a flood zone (on rivers, some lakes) because I'd pay out the nose for insurance.
