  1. It's good both ways.
  2. This is the key to this stuff - it's not spring or summer music. it's very definitely winter music. Just depends on your mindset. It's my rainy day in January album. That's how it was the first time I ever heard it and I fell in love with the music.
  3. That's really cool, Aftab!
  4. Welcome to the board, Kevin! So, who are you?
  5. I picked this up at lunch today, but haven't had a chance to watch it yet. This will replace my laserdisc and VHS copy.
  6. Nice site! I'll have to look at it more when I have some time. I hope you will join in on the discussions around here.
  7. Thanks for the tip! I haven't heard this one.
  8. I know we're starting early, but since this is Halloween week, what the heck. Rooster: Did you get your PM?
  9. This thread asks, "Van Morrison a Blue Note artist?, What do you think?" I like Van Morrison. I have a bunch of his earlier cds. but if I had my way..... Andrew Hill would be a Blue Note artist instead of Van.
  10. That is a GREAT song! I wish the rest of that soundtrack was as good.
  11. Cool! .... and scary!
  12. Rooster, I've never heard the Deathwish soundtrack. If you don't mind, can you describe what it's like? :rsmile:
  13. This is one of my favorite Blue Notes! I just love the vibe of this session.
  14. My favorites are: Superfly - Curtis Mayfield Trouble Man - Marvin Gaye Slaughter's Big Ripoff - James Brown The Mack - Willie Hutch
  15. I was just thinking, we should have an avatar Halloween party. We can take our regular avatars and dress them up. We can have a spoooooooky Halloween! I've done mine already. If anybody wants some help, I'd be happy to put your avatar through Photoshop for you.
  16. You'd think with that cool Vince Guaraldi soundtrack that the Peanut's lunchbox carrying kid would be mellow. But no, he was big and angry. I sure wish he would have been brown bagging it that day. The only thing that would have been hurt would have been his lunch. I'm glad you like the avatar. It's my regular avatar's Halloween costume.
  17. Ramee, I got bashed over the head with a Peanuts lunch box, which just seems wrong since Charlie Brown was so non-violent. Those things hurt like..... I loved S.W.A.T. too. When I was a kid, I was riding bikes with my dad and we stumbled upon the filming of a S.W.A.T. episode. Needless to say I was thrilled.
  18. I loved my Fat Albert lunch box too! Another favorite was my Star Wars lunch box. The site that had the picture sold theirs for $325! It makes me sick to think that I didn't save any of these. When we hit 5th grade, lunch pails weren't cool anymore. Brown bags were the way to go.
  19. My best wishes go out to you, James. It must really scary down there right now.
  20. Thanks Chris! The problem is that bird just pecks and bites when you try to get those cds of the legs. At least it makes the AOL tin can look like an act of genius.
  21. I just hope they don't do any special packaging for the album THE KID AND THE BRUTE. I don't want to walk out of the record store with a goat that reaks of cologne.
  22. There sure are a lot of Kings out there. You don't see a lot of people going around with the names like Peasant.
