  1. Eldad's website.
  2. I have seen Eric LeLann years ago in the Red Sea Jazz Festival. I think he is a poor replacement to the real thing.
  3. I am not familiar with this name.
  4. According to Barak, only Jerusalem counts....
  5. Albert Beger's best recording (IMHO) is *Hevel Havalim*, a trio with Gabriel Meyer (bass) and Hagai Fershtman (drums and percussion). When you listen to it you can easily identify his sources of influence: Ayler & Rollins. I strongly Recommend. Beger's discoraphy.
  6. All the best!!!
  7. The 1967 Beatles track A Day In The Life has been hailed the best British song of all time. Take a look here. A Day in the Life I read the news today oh boy About a lucky man who made the grade And though the news was rather sad Well I just had to laugh I saw the photograph He blew his mind out in a car He didn’t notice that the lights had changed A crowd of people stood and stared They’d seen his face before Nobody was really sure If he was from the House of Lords. I saw a film today oh boy The English Army had just won the war A crowd of people turned away But I just had to look Having read the book. I’d love to turn you on Woke up, got out of bed, Dragged a comb across my head Found my way downstairs and drank a cup, And looking up I noticed I was late. Found my coat and grabbed my hat Made the bus in seconds flat Found my way upstairs and had a smoke, And somebody spoke and I went into a dream I heard the news today oh boy Four thousand holes in Blackburn, Lancashire And though the holes were rather small They had to count them all Not they know how many holes it takes To fill the Albert Hall. I’d love to turn you on.
  8. I love the Parlan set but I think Parlan recorded his best sessions (at least the trio sessions) for SteepleChase and not for Blue Note.
  9. I wish you all the best, Mr. Griffin. Many people are waiting for you in Tel-Aviv.
  10. Israel- faroe Island: 2:0. We still have a chance.....
  11. All the best!!!
  12. Happy Birthday Sidewinder!
  13. Johnny Griffin was scheduled to play in Tel-Aviv next weekend. Eventually Griffin canceled his visit due to his poor health and there are rumors about heart attack. I'll be grateful if one of you has some more information about Griffin's health and can keep us updated.
  14. Israel- Switzerland: 1-1. I think both teams can be disappointed.
  15. The Israeli national team is playing this evening in Switzerland. It is not going to be an easy game for both teams. Any comments Flurin???
  16. The Bad Plus and Myra are not playing in the same league.
  17. Please take a look here: http://www.organissimo.org/forum/index.php...set%20purchased
  18. Andrew Hill set is much better and more interesting than Dizzy Reece set, IMHO of course.
  19. In light of the long list of future releases, I must ask you this question: What will be your next purchase from Mosaic??? Or maybe you plan to buy another set and not one of the future releases??? I am waiting for two of the new releases: Charles Tolliver and Oliver Nelson. What about you???
  20. Kenny Drew was born on August 28, so his birthday will be tomorrow of course....
  21. Today is Kenny Drew's birthday. He could have been 77. He was a very talented and special pianist. His duo recordings with NHOP are among the best in this format of bass & piano recordings. I plan to listen to it today. Happy birthday Mr. Drew.
