  1. Yeah, the final solution of the conflict...peace, love and a looooot of music.
  2. Sounds like he was already rich if he owned nearly 3 million albums, singles and cds! Not really sure, if you're a addicted collector...
  3. Yep, my thoughts, not yet heard.
  4. BTW great movie, it might seems a bit dated today, only because you're used to that camera's work and editing style. Lot of believers and followers, but only ONE John Cassavetes.

  6. How do you compare this pressing with the Mosaic? Interesting question - I'll report back later . In general I find that the 2-eyes have slight edge sonically, although they are noisier than Mosaic. I think I haven't got any 2-eyes around here, not sure. Much of later '360 stereo' instead, mostly rock, usually excellent sound. I'm lucky I guess in that I have all of those Miles late-60s albums in the 2-eyes versions. No mention of '360 stereo' that I recall. Got them as a near-mint batch at a great price. Pretty well all of the Monks too. Just playing the Mosaic '65-68' of 'Tout de Suite' and 'Filles'. I have to say that it sounds really good. There's not much to choose between them. The original LP has the bigger, broader soundstage I guess but the Mosaic has precision and detail. Both excellent ! The UK CBS Miles from this period are also consistently good. The 'Quiet Nights' UK mono is my favourite of that title. Thanks. The Mosaics are remixed too, I am listening to the Davis classic quartet box set, and it sound good. Maybe I'll get some monos of this stuff, I don't want my new cartrdrige feels neglected.

  11. I forgot this one: highly reccomeded http://www.ttvj.com/index.php?main_page=pr...products_id=765 I think Sidewinder has a Dynavector on his tt, he's very happy with it. and this http://store.acousticsounds.com/browse_det...m?Title_ID=9442
  12. When you switch from a MM to a MC that is what you got: better sound.
  13. Thanks to all ! Porcy, my budget is 100-200 Euros, a little more if needed. If you are able to mount the cartdrige by yourself, and if you choose an american or japanese manufacturer, like Denon, Sumiko or Grado, have a look at on-line shops based in U.S. like Acoustic Sounds and MusicDirect. Usually better prices then E.U. distributors. At least in Italy it's cheaper to buy interconnect, cables and cartdriges overseas (all the stuff that doesn't need any assistence beyond the warranty), pay the import duty, and still save 20% of the total. Euro rules, for the good and the bad. edit. Overall, if I were you and I could afford it I'd go for a Sumiko Blue Point, MC, high output. Consider that with MC the stylus is fixed, so you have to change the whole cartdrige, that would be a reason to ask to french distributor/sellers if they have some discount about cartdrige replacement. On the other hand, as I said above, over here I could save 20% from overseas online sellers. It might be that buying a brand new cartdrige overseas could cost the very same of the retipping/replacement by official national distributor/seller.
  14. Yep, Sumiko Blue Point, that's it!
  15. How's side 2 of LP3?
  16. On my old Thorens I mounted a Sumiko that worked and sounded pretty good. May I ask your budget?

  22. You want help? Go fuck an alligator. Not really a wise post. I mean that this guy really need a psychiatrist, not an alligator. I don't see any rational reasons to inflict to this guy a trial and news exposure, for a dead deer? C'mon.
  23. my baby (3 1/2) always asks me to put on some jazz music! As the father of a 13-year-old, trust me: that will end. Indeed, when they want listen to "Metallica" or "Motorhead" on you cd player... and this is only a very short time, after you tried in vain to teach them who were the Led Zeppelin, they will move towards Techno and DUB... a lost battle. On the positive side consider that you'll not have a bunch of drunked teenagers handling your records.
  24. An used copy of the NYT will work as well, and it's cheaper.
