  1. Thanks. I always forget there is a spaceship called jazzdisco.org flying in the outer space .
  2. As title says, I couldn't find the Tal Farlow disocgraphy of the Mosaic set, any help? Thanks
  3. Since "I am just a guy who spin records" cit. and not a musicians, a record that doesn't affect me emotionally is useless for me.
  4. Agreed, the old vinyls box sets were smaller and with nice booklet with good essays. I understand that the very cheap price of today’s sets are tempting and sometimes in the sets there are rare recordings but overall I agree with your points.
  5. Not the typical BW photo of ECM: colors and human beings. Eichler was particularly happy the day he approved the cover.😁
  6. I apply plenty of deminaralized water during the process and gently rub with my finger, rinse again at the end. I let it dry before use, it works for me.
  7. Rubbing and rinse with demineralized water. I use a latex glove to avoid skins debris on the onzow, but only the days I am particularly anally retentive, usually I only wash my hand before. Anyway I change them after some years of service because the material is getting less effective in capturing the dirt of stylus.
  8. Yep, and when you own a huge catalogue lasting sixty years of recordings.
  9. Over here, Italy, only the most radical left wing musicians were welcomed then. I mean I remember a "proletarian trial" that a left wing audience settled up against an italian forlk singer in a concert. Guess it was one of the reasons I still have some problems listening to some of the avant-garde european artists, their dogmatic attitude.
  10. My biggest set is the Ellington Centennial, jazz. My complete Bach edition surpasses it by a wide margin.
  11. I hate dupe. Usually I keep originals in any case and a reissue only if the original is heavy damaged. And I tend to get rid of stuff I don’t listen to anymore, keep some of it only for sentimental reasons. I was an avid listener of everything for ages, so I accumulated thousands of records of every kind from African folk to electronics from avant-garde to country from punks to classical ecc.. Now I’m discharging most of this stuff at my local stores trading for jazz records I don’t know, after selling lots of stuff on discogs.
  12. Mono, found it at my local store today, never heard of it. Nice one.
  13. That deserve a tonepoetizazion, absolutely, pretty hard to find in all its forms. Like Pearson’ Wahoo and Jackiemac’ Demon Dance
