No information on the link below. https://www.amazon.com/Strollin-Horace-Silver-Quintet/dp/B00ZJ3GO30/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1470181496&sr=8-4-fkmr0&keywords=The+Horace+Silver+Quintet+live+in+paris It appears to be the same as the "Horace-Scope" release.

  9. The reissue has two extra tracks. If you're a Don Pullen fan, this worth getting.
  10. I have doubts too. I've collected everything recorded by Sonny whether official or private and never ever seen reference to this. Here's to hoping it really does exist.
  11. Sonny Rollins recorded 7 albums in 1957. He didn't realize it to someone told him. Apparently, there exists a recording of Rollins playing with Miles Davis and John Coltrane from 1957. Anyone ever hear about this?
  12. It's listed on Randy's website. No pre-order as of yet. http://www.randyweston.info/randy-weston-discography.html.
  13. I'm a big fan of all Randy's music. This one is scheduled for release later this year. He's 90 years old and there's no slowing him down. It is a double cd too.
  14. I like this. Sorry, the image isn't posting. https://www.gramovox.com/pages/floating-record?utm_campaign=rec-lab&utm_medium=cpc&utm_source=facebook
  15. Yes. It's a very good take of that tune.
  16. I'm very excited by the Charlie Christian with Benny Goodman tracks. There can never be enough of Charlie Christian.
  17. The Bill Savory collection; Art Tatum right now.
  18. I am at the museum. I'm listening to Art Tatum. I just finished listening to the Coleman Hawkins tracks. This is amazing music. The quality is very good.
  19. RIP, Claude.
  20. Thanks. I didn't know about that jam session. I have to make it a long field day and visit both.
