  8. Who is Erik van der Wurff? A Erik van der Wurff (9 July 1945 – 22 September 2014) was a Dutch pianist, composer, arranger, producer and conductor. He worked mainly on soundtracks and as a composer for many movies and television shows. He primarily worked between 1977 and 2003. He also made acting appearances in two Dutch television shows in 1977 and 1980. He was the regular pianist on the Herman van Veen shows. Van der Wurff was born in De Bilt, Utrecht. In 2009, he was given the Order of the Netherlands Lion. Van der Wurff died from cancer on 22 September 2014 in Soest, near Amersfoort, Utrecht, aged 69.[1]
  9. Rollins, Coleman albums added to Grammy Hall of Fame. Twenty-seven new titles have been added to the Grammy Hall of Fame (15 singles, 12 albums), recognizing their "qualitative or historical significance.” The new inductees raise the total number of recordings honored by the Recording Academy to 987. Recordings are chosen by a special member committee that includes professionals from all branches of the academy with final approval coming from the academy's National Board of Trustees. For jazz fans, the most notable additions are two albums, Ornette Coleman’s “The Shape of Jazz to Come” and Sonny Rollins’ “The Bridge.” Rollins’ “Saxophone Colossus” had previously been inducted.
