Who was the model on the cover Duke Pearson's "The Sweet Honey Bee"? Anyone know who she was? I've seen her before, but I have no idea who she was.

It's a dead disc. I tried in my car and didn't work. I can't make a copy, my two computers at home think it is a blank disc.

Thom, I'm stumped on all of these. Not having read anyone's answers yet, the only one I thought I knew was #4. It sounds like Coltrane, but the rhythm sections isn't one I am familiar with. I wonder if it is someone trying real hard to sound like Trane? #7 I have this recording, but I don't recall who is on tenor or trumpet. Time to hunt through my collection to see if I can locate this.

I tried cleaning the disc, that didn't help. In fact, if I hold the disc up to a light, there are several pinholes in the disc.

My copy of Joe Henderson's Tetragon stopped playing. When I put in my CD drive on my computer, the CD/DVD burning software pops up and asks what I want to write to the disc. The CD doesn't play in my stereo CD player. I have had CDs go bad, but never one where my computer thinks it is a blank disc.

I hope you did check out the Vanguard Orchestra, they are wonderful. Seeing Michael Weiss is worth the admission. Also Bill Charlap with his trio is at the Vanguard this week.

I was looking at the credits to this Gil Evens session. My MCA/Impulse release lists Ron Carter on trombone. I first I figured it was a typo, but allmusic.com also has Ron Carter listed as playing trombone. Does Ron also play trombone? If so, are there any other recordings with him on trombone?
