  7. This clearly has to hurt. No offensive to this bullfighter, but sometimes the bull does win. This will go down on Wide World of Sports', "the agony of defeat." http://www.nypost.com/rw/nypost/2010/05/22/news/photos_galleries/bullfight/cropped/SPAIN%20BULLFIGHTING_001195151--400x600.jpg http://www.nypost.com/rw/nypost/2010/05/22/news/photos_galleries/bullfight/cropped/BULLFIGHTING-SPAIN-SAN-ISIDRO195149--500x380.jpg by the way, he did survive, the matador that is. The bull was put down.

  11. The jam with Larry Young is really not that bad. I have a copy of that.
  12. Hey, this a Hendrix/Rivers discussion.
  13. Rivers said Jimmy was a blues player who couldn't read music. All Rivers did was get to the basics and play straight ahead blues when they jammed. True, maybe there's not something interesting here and thus Rivers never bothered to get this released. We may never know.
  14. Maybe another Mosaic set one day.
  15. While at the Sam Rivers show earlier this month, Sam mention that in late 68 or early 69 he invited Hendrix to jam with him. Sam said they played from dusk to dawn in a loft across from where Sweet Basil was. Sam also said he recorded the jam session. During the question section of the concert Sam said they played nothing but the blues for 12 hours. I would love to one day hear this. Does anyone know if this is circulating with collectors that are into these private recordings?
  16. I heard that one part of the concert will be a trio with Rollins, Roy Haynes and Christian McBride. The same trio from Sonny's 2007 Carnegie Hall concert. A friend of mine was having a conversation with Christian and he confirmed that Sonny has asked him to be apart of the concert, and that Sonny was trying to get Haynes too. Man, I would love to see these three go into the studio and put out an album(CD). For now, I settle for the concert.
