  1. Iwill take your Lee Morgan and Ike Quebec sets. waitlist me if possible) for the Jimmy Smith, Grant Green and Blakey sets.
  2. I also got lucky this past weekend finding a "New York USA" copy of both Freddie Roach "Brown Sugar" and Jimmy Smith "Home Cookin'" at two DIFFERENT stalls at a weekend multi-seller garage sale in Northern Virginia. Looking forward to spinning that Roach tonight.
  3. Double thanks.
  4. Much obliged. Will check them out.
  5. Any recommendations on vinyl shops or well-stocked-with-jazz CD stores? I will be there this weekend. Thanks.
  6. PM sent on the CHu Berry set.
  7. Got the Charlie Parker 3fer safe and sound. thanks
  8. PM sent on the Charlie Parker 3CD set.
  9. Because it happened again when I PM'd him recently that I was interested in one of the new stock, then realized it was him and confronted him about last May. No reply at all. Call it the straw....etc.
  10. Right, and bad experience on my end. No one is all bad, of course jazzshrink. I just feel it is my responsibility to point out after several PMs went unanswered that this is not necessarily a consistent seller.
  11. And I never received the CD I purchased or a return of money either.
  12. Also there, fortunate to walk up to the ticket window and get 8th row seats 2 hours before the show (why do the bastards do that-but I'll take it) and was very impressed with the endless ideas he interprets. The review is on washingtonpost.com and was positive and fair. The guitarist Bobby Broom was the weak link but got it together in the last song. Bob Cranshaw is 75 but looks and played like he's 45!
  13. Congratulations. I never did receive my Coltrane CD from Robert last May after paying. And no replies to my PMs either.
  14. PM'd you on the Griffin The Kerry Daners
  15. I just picked up the CD of Jimmy Smith "Straight Life" on Blue Note and it is made up of an unissued trio date from 1962 with Warren and Bailey. Very worthwhile, both intimate and restrained swinging. No thanks, allowing for a the 'train wrecks' there must be plent of scope here for a Rare Groove Mosaic Select and Jimmy Smith album.
  16. Thanks to all for the tips and the clear picture of the landscape of music buying down there. The internet is certainly a vast source of goods of all kinds, but the search is so much more fulfilling in person and in 3-D. I'll probably have to get my kicks at the Library of Congress from now on. They still have music!
  17. upcoming trip to Addison TX, and I know about Half-Price books, but any other jazz vinyl stores in the Dallas/Addison/Plano area?
  18. I am interested in either of the 2 Mulligans and the baker studio set. What are you asking?
  19. I have the Sennheiser PXC-300 I bought at Tiger Direct.com--very happy with them and they came in No. 2 in the seatguru.com review.
  20. I have all the Contemporary sides and I tip my hat to In the Solo Spotlight.
  21. Hold the Sonny Criss/Wynton Kellly. But please tell me more about that one. Do you have dates? I have a California Boppin' Fresh Sound and another one with various Criss dates, but I think yours may be different.
  22. Hello Robert where are you? I PM'd you and left a message here looking for the Coltrane Africa/Brass mini-LP CD that I paid you for from your prior sale in May. Please be kind enough to answer this message.
