  1. I am trying to find CDs of Don Ellis's Tears of Joy and Autumn. I have them on vinyl and have been looking for CD reissues for years. Can anyone help me? Go Pistons
  2. A Call from the Living Incarnation to Deeply Consider The Way of Freedom, which leads to True Enlightenment, Liberation, or God-Realization JMN Bizarre
  3. Look out Joe. Bela Fleck is in GR with the Flecktones this weekend. Jim has a gig there and may be trying to hire Bela or Victor Wooten to replace you.
  4. I'll call ricky hicks tomorrow.
  5. Woo Hoo!!! Not a newbie anymore.
  6. Saw the Basie Band in Chicago Symphony Hall on New Years Eve. They played a 2 hour concert then played dance music for 2 more hours. You could go up on stage and dance right in front of the band. It was very cool... Heard the Gordon Goodwin Big Phat Band last year. Another great band... Have also heard many others in the past, Buddy, Duke, Woodie, Maynard, Toshiko.
  7. Did them in February online at turbotax. Paid off my Mastercard with the refund. First time in many years that has been paid off. Probably won't last long. Go Pistons.
  8. What I am doing in Muskegon, Michigan this weekend. Saturday afternoon, my father's 80th birthday party. Very cool. Everyone in 4 generations of my large family will be home...... Saturday evening, The Truth in Jazz Orchestra [can't get the hyperlink to work] www.tijo.org (my band) will take off on our maiden voyage at 7:00 PM in the beautiful and historic Frauenthal Center Auditorium www.frauenthal.info/nowplaying.htm in downtown Muskegon fronted by our legendary west Michigan drummer Tim Froncek. We are playing for a special event called MS JAMS www.mchp.org/msjams/html/media.html a fundraiser/MS awareness concert. Our guest soloist is the Force of Nature himself, Derico D. Watson. www.dericowatson.com The same evening after the MS JAMS concert, Square One www.thekrband.com an outstanding local band will be playing from 9:30 PM to 1:30 AM at Pints and Quarts Pub and Grill in Roosevelt Park. This is a very eclectic and entertaining group that I would describe as a progressive acoustic rock band. They do a great mix of originals and covers that audiences always love. S1 is playing as I write this at the Black Rose Irish Pub in Grand Rapids. On Sunday, April 4, Organissimo is playing at Dockers Waterfront Cafe in Harbortowne from 6:00 - 10:00 PM. I am very thankful to Dockers for bringing them to Muskegon several times over the past couple months. It's gonna be a great weekend. JAMN
  9. Ditto. You guys sound great in that room. I enjoyed it very much as did everyone else in attendance. We'll have to work on getting more people out next week.
  10. Watch out for Western Michigan. They are the college team to beat in Michigan right now. Go Broncos. While we're on the subject of bb, how about those Pistons? Five sub-70 point defensive perfomances in a row. The bad boys Wallace are going to be hard to beat in the playoffs.

    Francesco Cafiso

This is my first post in the Organissimo forums. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up on this kid from Italy. Hearing him play makes reincarnation seem to be a very plausible concept. (Did someone say Bird?) I heard him several times at the IAJE convention in NYC recently and have been spreading the word ever since. You can download some mp3's and a video of Francesco and Wynton Marsalis at his website: Francesco Cafiso Check it out. Cheers.
