  6. Don Kent, who owned Mamlish, was part of the New York "blues mafia". Nick Perls, who owned Yazoo, did the mastering for many (perhaps all) of the Mamlish releases. After Perls died and Yazoo was sold to Shanachie, Kent worked on some Yazoo releases. So there was a definite connection, though Mamlish and Yazoo were separate companies.
