Amazon has some used Bird's Eyes CDs at high prices. Cadence has nine volumes available at reasonable prices. That seems to be about it online - at least as far as I've been able to ascertain.
I believe that Cadence used to distribute Philology. They carry a lot of Philology titles, so perhaps they still do.
There evidently was a reisssue on the Philogy label - Bird's Eyes, Vol. 17 (Philology (It) W 847-2) - though I've never heard it.
edit - The clip on Amazon sounds pretty rough, although Bird sings and shines through it all, as always.
After the discussion about Jimi Hendrix's record collection, I got to thinking about jazz musicians' collections. I know that some musicians don't or claim not to listen to records, so I have no idea who listens or listened to records and who doesn't or didn't. But I thought it might be interesting for people to post what collections they'd be interested in checking out.
I'll start it off:
Cecil Taylor
Coleman Hawkins
Roscoe Mitchell
true, but part of not making a big deal of some people being GLBT is not being afraid of throwing in a name without being certain...
Unfortunately, it is a big deal in some areas of our society. And what's not a big deal to you may be a very big deal to someone whose name is mentioned without any substantiation.
