yeah pretty awesome! i wish all the dauner MPS albums would be reissued. hopefully more will come out. some of them have marketable names like larry coryell on them. though ironically i do not like the oimels, which is actually pretty readily available. i find dave pike's MPS stuff a bit cutesy.

cecil taylors black forest album has been reissued on CD in japan also.

headman, in case you were not aware, there have also been some MPS albums reissued via japan recently. i am listening to mike nock's "between or beyond" as we speak. i had also ordered george duke's "feel". thank g_d someone else is taking charge because MPS certainly spit the bit. i hope we get some more dauner albums. get up and dauner!

yes, sarpus if you are just doing that why don't you do it yourself? save some money, learn a fun skill. i have not gotten a professional haircut since high school. my friends and i used to cut each others hair on my parents porch, which i guess was vaguely homoerotic. i buzzed it for fun a few times since then but usually give myself normal haircuts which are uneven and i look dumb but i cannot stop. i cut my ex-girlfriend's hair once because she was impressed with the job i did on myself and she went to a very fancy salon (350 haircuts) for her next one and they asked what salon she got her last haircut at. though since then i also stabbed a young woman accidentally giving her a "personal" haircut and i can only imagine how painful that was...she was bleeding pretty bad. i have noticed my own haircuts are getting more uneven and dumber looking as i get older. i am not improving.

actually i sold lanquidity a long time ago. when it comes to music i really like style-wise (like lanquidity), i tend to be a tougher listener. i am not sure why i like strange celestial road better. i have soured on disco 3000, actually. i would have preferred the original album with less music. as a double disc set it doesn't hold up for me. i wanted more of the crumar.

no one ever talks about cosmos, which has been out as a french? japanese? mini LP CD for a while. sun ra mostly plays a phased clavinet(or this is how it sounds to me)...electric bass and craig harris on trombone. not funky...sort of spacy swinging.

there is a good my favorite things on one of the horo sessions also (quartet version). strange celestial road is still available on CD and is sort of like that lanquidity music you enjoyed.
