  2. this WD 40 can use some cleaning itself! ← Hey, that's little couw from around the corner.
  3. Okay, I had some problems with copying, Not sure but I think the burner took a crap. I'm doing the rest the transfers on the laptop. Overseas packages are in the mail. I have to take a business trip on Tuesday but just for the day. I expect to have all the others send on Wednesday.
  4. A most Happy New Year to my Jewish freinds.
  5. What a major disappointment. This was the place to be if you wanted to buy a cashmere scarf, a purse, a subscription to the Times, eat a Gyro or get a shoulder massage from an Asian man. If you were looking for German food, drink, music, or tradition, it was nowhere to be found on Lexington. I should have known better and stayed in Queens. I had to go on down to 7th Street and Avenue C for the real deal. Oktoberfest
  6. Sorry I be late, but it's still sincere. Hope it was a good'un.
  7. Shame on you. This part of 9th Street
  8. I don't know where you were, but as recently as last weekend I was in Center City Philly on a Sunday afternoon, walking all around the area between Broad Street and Rittenhouse Square. The streets were full of people enjoying the beautiful weather, the many open shops, galleries, restaurants, and sidewalk cafes, and bucolic Rittenhouse Square itself. And other areas of Philly's central core I've visited on recent weekends (e.g., Old City, Society Hill, Market Street East) have been equally as bustling. Not to mention other restaurant and shopping districts in other parts of the city (e.g., Manayunk, Chestnut Hill). So wherever you were is not representative of much of Philly. Ironically, the most aggresive "street person" I've ever encountered was in Chicago, right outside the Drake Hotel of all places. And having lived in NYC, DC, Miami, and Texas (Austin and Houston), I can assure you that the panhandlers in Philly's central core are no more aggressive or plentiful than in the central cores of those other cities. ← What about 9th Street?
  9. I think Cleveland holds the title for the most agressive panhandlers.
  10. St. Vincent de Paul Or, I would try and find some charity organizations (with soild credentials) closer to the affected areas.
  11. I'm not surprised. There was a story in the paper here a few weeks back about Philly. A lot of the younger folks are moving there for lower property costs. If I wasn't here, I would be there.
  12. Have happy birthday.
  13. That is great.
  14. Have a great day!
  15. I just noticed Larry was back among us. I couldn't be happier.
  16. I've started early! Enjoying some beers this very moment while preparing an authentic German dinner......... Tostadas!
  17. Cool, and the 29th is my birthday, so that makes it extreeee special!
  18. I always have been. Seriously, I've not really been watching much baseball since the move. Although, I will follow the playoffs and watch the world series. I would really like to see Cleveland make it in. As for next season, I'm hoping the Mets will field a contender sometime soon. On a side note, I really can't get over the NL West sucking so bad. A 500 team wins the division? D-Backs need some major help.
  19. This thread is getting funny.
  20. Sorry to hear that. Have a happy birthday, after work!
  21. Ha!
  22. I was just thinking about your pending move lastnight. I wasn't sure if you guys were still going ahead or waiting. I guess the move is on. Whether you see it now or later, I'm still going to wish you the very best. Drive safe!
  23. Make that 24.
