  1. All things considered, I would still pick hiring a moving company over doing it yourself. My advice, like many before me. Sell everything you can live with out. It saved us big money.
  2. Where are the Corvettes?
  3. On the other hand, I got to watch the guys carry my stuff up 15 steps outside to get to the front door, and then another 12 steps once they were inside. It was worth it.
  4. My stuff arrived!!! I'm happy to have it, but I'm not very happy with the moving company. When I called on Thursday the girl told me she could not give me an estimated delivery date, but the driver would call 48 hours ahead of time. According to the local office, we should not expect that call until closer to 8/15. I got a call Friday afternoon at 3:00 PM from the driver. "Mr Testa, can we bring your things to you this afternoon?" I told him I was 30 miles from home and still needed to get a cashiers check, so the answer had to be no. Looks like everything survived. although I'm not real pleased with how some of it was handled. I guess that should come as no surprise. Anyways....
  5. Well actually I would still snap one up if the opportunity presented itself. The problem is though, and this won't be any surprise to you fellas, but they just don't handle well on UK roads. I mean we have all sorts to contend with over here; they are narrow, awfully bumpy and unmade in places, and mine does around corners rather well. There is still time though. ← True, most older models were surely made for cruising straight boulevards. So, mix in an Alfa, would ya?
  6. Where is the Corvette?
  7. Interesting and cool stuff, for sure. I think I may try and attend.
  8. So sad. RIP, Lucky.

  14. RIP, Al.

  16. How very sad. C, I'm so sorry for what your mother had to go through. At least now she is at peace, hopefully that will bring you some comfort. My deepest condolences go out to you and your family.
  17. Wish you the best!
  18. I saw the bad guy walk right behind the space you parked your machine. How you doin'? ← It figures the guy would walk where in a spot graced by me. I'm doin' well, just getting a little anxious to move in the new pad.
  19. Wow! Talk about the wrong kind of neighborhood excitement. Glad you guys were safe after the smoke cleared.
