    Funny Rat

I've got nothing to add to what has already been said in other posts. Well..., at least not until after I've read all 2000+ of them. I'm mainly here to show couw, I'm not afraid.
  3. you're juist too girlie and scared Scared of what? Is there a pronunciation query going on in there somewhere? among other things... There have been huge brawls over how to correctly pronounce the name of that Brötzelwötzel, whatsisname and all those Italians that pop up there all the time with their funny names are not friendly on the memory cells either. Off late we have been locking people up and have them listen to lots of Brötzelmensch, Ayler, and Kenny G, flipping between those unexpectedly and measuring reactions on a cellular level. big fun for the whole smelly rat family! Okay, let me check my calendar. I'll see if I can squeeze in a visit in the near future. A thread that size has got to be good for a post or two, no?

  5. Word. Far too late to jump in on that thing.
  6. Be strong my friend, I live with the same problem every damn day. It's not easy having a BIG post count. Imagine what Mr. Sangrey must be having to deal with.
  7. If I created a monster I would name him Niels-Henning Ørsted Pedersen. how do you pronounce that? I'm not not exactly sure, so I would probably just call him Bill.
  8. Oh man, you're in trouble now.
  9. If I created a monster I would name him Niels-Henning Ørsted Pedersen.
  10. Duh! Try this on for size. Neels (with short EE, like in Nina) Hè-ning (Hè with short è, like in Men; "ning" like the Ming vase) Orsted, has a / through the O, which (AFAIK) means that it is pronounced like the German Ö, just like the Swedish cook does all the time, you know the "eh..." like you're thinking what to say next. Much like the French "eu" in Bleu, but shorter. I would expect there is a tiny more emphasis on the second syllable than none at all. Just to make it all more difficult of course, I'm sure. Pèdersen, has the emphasis on the first syllable and on nothing else. The "e" in "Ped" is short, much like the one in Henning. "ederson" just flows away, like in the English name Petersen, or Ronaldson, or Whateverson
  11. Hey brotha, you know my situation. The frenzy has been somewhat lacking, just trying to make up for lost time.
  12. That's what I'm talkin' about. B)
  13. Dude, just say you don't know.
  14. I love this damn CD, can't seem to get enough of it.
  15. I just finished burning some compilations to take with me on the trip to California. I've included the standard favorites to drive my friends crazy. Going to burn one more tonight to include some Woody Shaw, more Warne Marsh and Lee Konitz, and some of the new Fathead Newman stuff I just got.
  16. Word.
  17. That's a good thing. Until Chuck re-issued All Music, I have to admit I was somewhat ignorant of your father's genius. Needless to say I have done whatever I can to bring myself up to speed.
  18. A chili dog from a local place called Lenny's. Tomorrow I will be buying tacos and burritos for myself and all of the crews working on one of my palm tree trimming contracts. The City said it couldn't be done , but we broke a record today for the number of trees trimmed in one day (122 in 4 1/2 hours). The deal was lunch on Wednesday and beer on Friday.
  19. Word.
  20. GROUP HUG! That looks to me like more than just a hug.
  21. I'd have to agree, the clothes make me think 60's. I can't see the shoes, but I'm willing to bet they have zippers up the side.
