I'll say it again..... DETROIT ROCKS!!
-
and you guys thought I was being rough on Dampier Another thing Reggie said to Rip "There are no more like us" "Play as long as you can" obviously referring to a guy who can rip and run most of the game using curls and non stop defense. Well, well, well, it does look like the Pistons Hey SS1
-
Yeah, okay, but Dampier is just not that good. Did you see the look that Dirk gave Dampier on one of those putbacks he missed? The commentators even mentioned that. Anyway, tonight will be Detroit and Seattle.
-
E. Dampier stinks..... out of position, missing multiple putbacks. Can't finish.... team covers by saying they don't need scoring from him. Wow, if he made those 5 to 6 putbacks, it would have changed complexion of the game. but he still thinks he is second best center in league......
-
The Heat better hope Shaq heals up for whoever they play next. Go PISTONS
-
WOW AIN'T THE PLAYOFFS GREAT!! And some of you were crying to hurry up and get to the Finals. I said it before and I will say it again (for everyones benefit). It is the journey that really counts.
-
As much as I love the Pistons, let us wait until they get to the Conference Final first. Having said that...... If it is Pistons vs. Heat...... you will indeed be surprised and hurt. Pistons in 6
-
Nice try! The Pistons will win tonight. I guaran'sheed it! Yeah, We all see through that now..... Your picks are bad but trying to use that in order to get YOUR wins just is not going to work. You should know by now the PISTONS are going to move on to the next round. I do think SA might be in trouble though. The Suns just forgot to pass the ball, got to caught up in watching Nash hitting everything he threw up. B-)
-
Dampier is an interesting character -- a perennial underachiever who put up great numbers last year because he was up for a new contract. Now that he's signed with Dallas he's back to mediocrity. Dunno about "2nd best center", or even "8th best", but when motivated he can play pretty darn well and he does help Dallas quite a bit in more conventional situations. Guy Thanks But....... I watched him closely after Dirk called him out and he just doesn't look that good. Sorry, maybe it is because I have seen too many good ones, Nate The Great, Wilt, Russ, Willis, Kareem, David, Robert Parish, Wes Unseld, George Miken, etc. Hell, Luc Longley and Bill Cartwright played a better game than Eric. Hell, even Ray Felix was a lot better than Eric. Sorry man, I just don't buy it. He may improve and that would be nice but for right now, he needs to shut up and learn the position. And that doesn't excuse Dirk by the way. I guess basketball has really changed more than I would like to admit. EDIT; let me add Mourning, Ewing, Mutumbo and Olajuwon. From what I saw, James of Seattle outplays Dampier and maybe even Heywood of the Wiz. peace B-) Bruce

WHAT A GREAT THREAD!! I'll start with: Milt Jackson - Opus de Jazz w/Frank Wess Cal Tjader - Soul Sauce Lionel Hampton - Golden Vibes Gary Burton - For Hamp, Red, Bags and Cal Modern Jazz Quartet - At Carnegie Hall John Coltrane - Giant Steps Miles Davis - Relaxin' Horace Silver - Six Pieces of Silver Dave Brubeck - Jazz at Oberlin Oscar Peterson - Concers By The Sea Jimmy Smith - The Sermon Willie Bobo - Spanish Grease
-
Pretty sure I know three of them, but how about some names???? B-)
-
Dirk needs to shut up and produce. Can't believe a 7 footer that close to the basket and unable to finish...... Eric Dampier has probably been listening too much to his friends, if he is second best center, the NBA is in big trouble..... Since when do centers get an offensive rebound and always kick it out?????? Why doesn't that dumb sob go right back up to finish??????? However, I can't talk, my Pistons are getting a real challange, they need to wake up.
-
Look, try this... Watch the GAME not WATCH the game.. Get it? B-)
-
You guys need to learn to appreciate what IS happening as opposed to what is NOT happening. Right now you should be seeing that the Nba Finals Champion is going to come out of the East again, NOT the west. B-)
-
Detroit playing perfect game right now.... Pacers tired..... but being outplayed anyway.... Big Ben is tough tonight..... Rip is stroking and running..... B-) B-) B-)
-
I was 7-1 I actually thought Chicago would take Wiz, did not expect them to play giveaway. I have Phoenix over Dallas Spurs over Seattle Miami over Wiz and Detroit over Indiana in next round. Really doesn't matter how many games it takes.
-
Rockets are NOT looking good What is wrong with Yao, he should know by now he has to be aggressive Some commercials look good too
-
But on the flipside, Phoenix only won 29 (28?) games last year and won 62 this year -- that's a much bigger turnaround than the Heat. It's fair to say that without the Shaq trade, Miami would still be a playoff team. Without signing Nash, Phoenix is lottery-bound. And yeah, I know that Dallas was better this year than last year, but besides losing Nash they also added Jason Terry, Jerry Stackhouse, Erick Dampier and Keith Van Horn. Guy Incidentally, I think Duane Wade deserves as much credit as Shaq as far as Miami goes. Without Mr. Inside/Outside, they would not have won that many games just because of Shaq. and I love Detroit. AND believe it or not, I loved LA until Kobe showed his more negative attributes!!! Peace everybody Bruce
-
WOW, I got you guys to talking, huh! Now if NOJ and SS1 will just join in....... then all we need is some bar-b-q and some beer..... On to the playoffs (Sat)
-
No it is not crap. Shaq cannot win everything all the time. He is not alone at the top of being Most Valuable Player. Nash deserves, Shaq deserves, so does Big Ben, and so does Duncan and Ginobli, and even Shaq's teammate Flash, and a few other guys, but only one person can get the honor. This time it is Nash. So everyone quit dissing the guy and STFU. He did a great job this season. No disrespect but you guys should be worried about Detroit. DETROIT STILL ROCKIN'
-
Seems to me you got this all wrong. Shouldn't you Laker fans be wearing something like these?
-
So What DETROIT ROCKS!!
-
Me thinks this time Van Gundy is right, they want to shut him up. He hit the nail on the head and it is hurting Stern that anybody would speak up. Officials have been terrible in most of these series also. The only time they look good is when they huddle and decide someone made a mistake. B-)
-
Even though I have been following the Lakers ever since they came to Los Angeles and played in the Pan Pacific Auditorium..... anybody remember that..... I will always be a fan of the midwest (which included the Minneapolis Lakers) and especially the Detroit Pistons..... rememvber when they were the Fort Wayne Pistons??? B-) DETROIT ROCKS
-
SS1 Sorry dude, I was out of town and did not see any games, but it does look good for Detroit now. 3-1 and all engines running hot
