I agree -- the Pistons probably wouldn't have won the Heat series without Wade's injury. If they can induce a Duncan injury, they might have a decent chance of winning another title. Guy ← Boo Hoo, Boo Hoo, waa, waaaaa, You guys need to quit crying about injuries, it happens to every team in every sport; not just your team that lost. Remember Rip had a nagging injury the first four games. Watch ESPN sometimes, the classic NBA games and you will see teams winning WITH injured important players. so just stop the "if so and so wasn't hurt, we woulda won. All that woulda, shoulda, coulda stuff is very very OLD. peace :bwallace2:

Organissimo is in the studio...
BruceW replied to Jim Alfredson's topic in organissimo - The Band Discussion
Jim, I just bumped onto this thread searching for a way to contact you on something else. This is fantastic. Wishing you and your group(s) all the best. I guess I should PM you on my other topic. BruceW -
Noj Wow man, I just bumped into this portion of the Organissimo stuff and your paintings are great. I especially like Milt Jackson and Kaiser Sose. Milt is the greatest and Sose from Usual Suspects is very ingenious of your to do. I take it you like great mystery movies. My problem is that I am still on 56K and need a faster format. We expect to get back into our new home (burned out in San Bernardino fires 2003) by August this year and then I can convert my system. Please stay in touch, I can visualize commissioning you to do a painting of me at my vibes probably next year when we have everything settled. In the mean time I will still be riding you guys about the Pistons. peace, Bruce

Is there a new Star Wars movie coming out?
BruceW replied to Jim Alfredson's topic in Miscellaneous - Non-Political
George Lucas hit the big time when he made Chapter IV (the first Star Wars). He has gone down hill eversince and I mean down. This newest episode (III) stinks to high heaven. Stiff, silly, and a ton of unnecessary one liners from all the "metal cast." AND how in the h*ll did Yoda survive those beatings he took???? Wow, the force is something....... Well at least we know why Darth Vader is Darth Vader. The last 30 minutes was probably the best part. -
Ohhh Man, and I watch this show, but Nicollette looks really good and sexy for her age also..... Can we just stick to basketball
-
That's really funny.. By the way, how did you get that thumbnail into your post???
-
Soulstation1, Hey man, that was cool starting a new thread and a poll for the Finals. peace Bruce
-
Yeah, I thought that was funny too Seems SS1 can't reconcile his discontent with the Lakers' demise. Cheer up SS1, they will be back. Pistons in 6 or 7 Bruce
-
Aw Gee, Shaq can't hold his head up when they lose. He never says WE lost, it is always MY guys this, MY guys that etc. etc., bla bla bla. Have been trying to tell people Shaq IS NOT A GUARANTEE of a championship. Shaq is a very good player, is also a great humanitarian but he is not a lock on anybodys team to win a championship. Only George Mikan, Bill Russell and Sam Jones come close to that distinction. Now on to the Finals, Pistons either take it in 6 or it will go 7. Toss up who wins but I am picking Pistons. Should be interesting, two most current champions playing for the championship. Eastern Conference Champions :bwallace2:

AND because nobody seems brave enough to say it, I will..... DETROIT ROCKS! :bwallace2: and to all you Piston haters still in DENIAL ....... boo freakin' hoo!! Don't mean to be mean but someone posted that to me once..... Peace everybody
-
What is Shaq in NOT getting to game 7's and losing series??
-
Long Live The Pistons! :bwallace2: Bruce

At the very least, the Spurs, Wolves and Lakers (possibly the Kings too) were better than the Pistons last year. Sometimes the best team in the NBA loses due to bad luck (the Spurs against the Lakers last year), and sometimes it's an attitude thing (why the Lakers lost in the finals). Guy ← There sure is a lot of BS and D E N I A L going around. So all the GOOD teams laid down so the Pistons could win Somebody is really stuck in denial.

Soouuuulstation1, That is really cold to show a picture of RJ. Now tell me, would even you have wanted to experience the experiences of RJ??? Tell the truth....... So what you are saying is that SVG is RJ and experienced those things......... Did anybody else get this???? Man, I hate Detroit melting down like this. Sheed is in trouble, he also said "they" want a 7 gave series intimating that the League is behind the refs controlling that game from the start to induce a loss for the Pistons. The Pistons didn't need that help in this one, they stunk. Bruce
-
Here is My Take: 1. Heat must win or they are finished. 2. Yeah, what's up with that??? 3. Daddy is running on fumes but not his mouth, he is still talkin' 4. Agreed, Sheed's mouth gets him in trouble again.... Bruce

During the regular season, the Pistons held opponents to 89.5 ppg During the regular season, the Spurs held opponents to 88.4 ppg ← There you have it. The Pistons would have locked the Suns down with that stifling defense. ← ??? The Spurs have an even more stifling defense than the Pistons (playing much tougher opponents than the Pistons) and still gave up 15-16 ppg more against the Suns than normal. Why would the Pistons be different? Guy ← BECAUSE: the Spurs "ran" with the Suns who did not play defense. The Pistons play defense and the Spurs will not be a running team against them. And why are we discussing the Suns, they no longer count.
-
Yeah Man, That was WICKEEEED. Even with the cup he went down like a ton of bricks.... Ouch And out of three referees, nobody saw it. Damn
-
Gee, Haven't you noticed.... The Pistons are the champs..... The Pistons almost always keep anybody under 100 ppg..
-
Hey, how about this..... Until they are beaten...... the Detroit Pistons are the champs.... All this conjecture, my my my It is great to see all this faith in everybody's team but faith is greatly made up of denial of reality.

PISTONS ready to march now!! :bwallace2:
-
Thanks Jim Now on with the Pistons march to victory. :bwallace2:
-
Actually, he is a good coach. Pistons have chance now.
-
Pistons still HAVE to win another game on the road in order to win series 4-2 or 4-3, preferably game 5. LB still playing word game..... man, is he good at it.
-
Thanks Jim, I had never heard of Marc Stein. It is comforting to see that my observations (as less professionally written as I do) were right on with Marc's. Anyway, the predictions are the same and what Brown is doing to Detroit is exactly what I felt was happening to the team. Larry Brown should be feeling a tinge of disgrace and total embarassment by now. The sad part: If the Pistons team goes on to win this series and somehow repeats as champions, Larry Brown will take credit for it and that will stink to high heaven. Bruce

I don't think that's what Bruce meant -- he's just trying to point out that having Shaq on your team, even in his prime, was not a guaranteed championship. Or even guaranteed success in the playoffs (making it out of the 2nd round). Guy ← Right Bruce
