Lakers need to stop crying, it could be a lot worse...... Since we are always talking about if's..... IF the Clippers had won half of those last minute close games, they would be in the playoffs and with a record that would really make the Lakers hide their faces... IF Corey Maggette knew how to finish a drive into the paint and get the bucket besides the foul..... all those 3 points instead of 2...... IF Chris Kamen knew how to play the pro game........ IF Shaun Livingston had stayed healthy ALL season....... B-)

Phoenix cannot sustain a half court series where so many adjustments have to be made. All they do is run, run, run. In the series, you have to constantly make adjustments to a slower game and they have none at this point. Phoenix is out in the second round. B-) Detroit is starting to toughen up.. Jim Rome is also saying that Kobe IS the problem in the Laker organization. Cleveland is set with LBJ and Z and their point guard. Need a good scorer at PF and they are set. Houston will burn statium if they let Yao go. Cleveland will burn statium if they let LBJ go. Minn will burn statium if they let KG go. Maybe Lakers should (I hate this) get Webber, then Kobe could drive and Webber could stay a 6'10" jump shooter. KG just won't work in LA because Kobe has to have the ball in his hands and so does KG. Pistons still have to turn it up..... B-) KG is in the last year of his contract and can't be happy missing the playoffs. He may want to join forces with Kobe, and the Lakers have money to spend on him. The small forwards would be dealt for someone else entirely. OK the Lakers have money.... they also have turmoil....... right know they are losers also, so why go from one loser to another???? Who is going to be out there to replace KG??????? (big question) and if Minn is losing, who (big) out there would want to go to a team that is losing??? (Sam is older, Sprewell just is not performing, Olawakandi is just no good). I think KG will get more money to stay with promises by management to build a completely better team with good role players. What ya think?? B-)

Hey Soulstation Ya really think the Heat can do it??? I don't think Detroit will repeat if Coach Brown doesn't solidfy the confidence the team has lost (including him sounding like he is through with it). Coach Brown is making statements that semantically leave the door wide open for him to quit. AND that is Larry Brown's nature when it comes to staying a long time with any team. B-)

Man, the Pistons are becoming a real schizophrenic team. They GOT TO put the hammer down NOW or they can forget it. They are letting other teams and possibly all the teams THINK they can beat them (the Pistons). This is a huge mistake. Larry Brown better drag his ass down to the stadium and straighten this shit out. You cannot let other teams obtain that kind of confidence. Are they forgetting that last ingredient that enabled them to destroy the Lakers!! B-)

Well Duh!! As much as I believe Phil Jackson is a great coach, he is not the only good to great coach in the league..... why is that so hard to figure out.... Also, there are some bad coaches in the league... B-) Detroit Rocks!![/ Phil Jackson is a great coach but he was thoroughly out-coached by Larry Brown in the Finals last year. Also it showed how a team concept can beat a couple of superstars so what do the Lakers do, go further in the wrong direction. If the Pistons are healthy I think they beat the Heat but it will be quite a series and if Dwayne Wade really steps up (and I think he can) maybe the Heat could pull it out. I have to disagree with you on Phil Jackson being out-coached. ALL the evidence is in now and it is pretty obvious Phil was over ridden in some of his decisons he was going to make. The most obvious being that Kobe is the "Untouchable" and Kobe's attitude thoroughly destroyed the Lakers team as a team. None of the players cared by the time they reached the Finals. No coach would have been able to put them together again at that time. Humpty Dumpty had fallen and was broken ..... etc. No King, no horses.... could....... you know the rest. As much as I like Larry Brown, I think in his mind he has already quit on the Pistons to repeat. Larry loves to teach and there is nothing left to teach the Pistons. After all, Larry has not experienced the task of repeating an NBA championship so how can he "teach" it. Too bad, he is good though. BUT the Pistons have learned and learned well. It is obvious they have to do it on their own now and they seem to want to. Respectfully submitted, B-)

B-) Mark As much as I would love to see the Heat win (to the dismay of the Lakers), I cannot go against the Pistons as long as they are in the playoffs. Yes, Big Ben can hang, last year Shaq weighed more than 330, remember... Kobe's selfishness was their downfall.... The Heat are a solid team, BUT Shaq is the only one with Finals experience..... Odom is a bust ONLY because Kobe now is not going to let anyone be a star on HIS team...... Kobe does not pass the ball like a point guard, he only dishes if off when he cannot get a shot off......
