  1. Um...Guess who! It just came in the mail today! Great Disc!
  2. Me Too! Can't wait!
  3. For the price this guy paid, he could have gotten 2 of them from Dusty Groove! Oh Baby!
  4. That seems to have been removed.
  5. So about a week, thats not bad at all considering my Red Trumpet orders generally take about the same time! Thanks for the info.
  6. I just placed my first order with Hiroshi, Three Sounds - Bottoms Up and Hey There. Neither are the mini-lp sleeve. The cost for shipping was 630yen ($5.30), which seems pretty reasonable. Anyone know about how long it takes to receive your order in the USA.
  7. Just removed Conn 500 from my favorable traders list I do have another copy of Dodo, sure you don't want to trade again for something equal like Three Sounds - Bottoms Up?
  8. So much for Amazon, order refunded. Back to the drawing board
  9. One of my favorite Conns is well, Jacknife! The absolute worst Conn for me is Dodo Greene, I can only listen to it for about a minute or two before I hit the eject button!
  10. This seems pretty crazy, is this really that rare? Rare WES MONTGOMERY Promo Photo #2 8x10
  11. I went ahead and ordered it from Amazon.
  12. I DON'T have it! Anyone know where I can get the unpricey version? Red Trumpet doesn't have any pricey version.
  13. Horace Silver - Silver's Serenade Donald Byrd - Blackjack, Fuego Les McCann - In New York Jimmy Smith - I'm Movin' On Art Blakey - Indestructable, Ritual Sonny Rollins - V1 John Coltrane - Blue Train Konitz Meets Mulligan Dexter Gordon - Our Man In Paris Lou Donaldson - Everything I Play Is Funky Roland Kirk - We Free Kings Whew, and I think I'm forgetting a few. At this pace I'm quickly running out of storage space (and money)!
  14. This one qualifies for craziness...Last I checked, you can get a brand new one for $39.00 Randy Weston Mosaic Select
  15. Looks like I might have to pick up a couple of those new rvg's!
  16. I currently have the following cds available for trade. All of the cds are new and sealed. Connoisseurs ANDREW HILL - GRASS ROOTS JIMMY SMITH - SOFTLY AS A SUMMER BREEZE ORNETTE COLEMAN - THE EMPTY FOXHOLE (back corner of jewel case is cracked-still sealed) Blue Note Ltd ART TAYLOR - AT'S DELIGHT I perfer to trade only. I'm primarily interested in Blue Note cds that I don't already have but am open to what ever you might think is a reasonable trade.
  17. Rodney Dangerfield's Back To School was filmed partly at the UW-Madison where I went to school and still live. This movie has a connection for me as I think I took school about as serious as this movie did!
  18. I took the plunge and ordered this box from True Blue's promotion. I'm definately nervous about how much I'm going to like this set! I got "A Jackson In Your House" from emusic and that is quite a different sound than the standard blue note bop that I'm used to! I'll keep an open mind, as something totally different is always a challenge!
  19. Hootin' and Tootin' is indeed a great session. I have the conn version and am wondering if there is any difference sonically between the conn and the jrvg?
  20. Here's another 20% off total till 8-10-03
  21. eggs benedict and black coffee for me.
  22. Rule #1: Don't ever let a set go....you'll only regret it later! I have the Hamilton set and it's very laid back but I do enjoy it a lot, especially on a Sunday morning when I'm feeling very laid back.
  23. Man, this cd kicks! I think my favorite tune so far is #2 Jimmy Smith Goes to Washington. Anytime you guys want to come to Madison, WI to play, I'll be there! Heres to looking foward to your next cd!!!
  24. It appears that the song labeled as Thandiwa on the Mosaic site is actually Hipnosis.
