Tone Jansa Patterns Helidon- Yugoslavia 1979- sax quartet with the leader tenor & soprano sax and flute. Big band added to one number. Modal pieces in the main with good variety of pacing between the tracks

I love the tension that Ronald Shannon Jackson brought to that group. He's playing free, but always manages to sound like he's on the verge of breaking into funk rhythms.
