A summer's evening is ideal for Art Farmer, the ineffable craftsman, as he, Jimmy Heath and Cedar Walton send me into some kind of spiritual bliss on The Time and the Place.  

I just got back from a weekend in midtown NYC, and this is the sort of jazz that exists no more,  but sings though my head as I walked those streets.

Recorded 58 years ago this summer in NYC.  A time and a place.
