mikeweil Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 (edited) My local retailer told me couldn't order the Miles Davis Quintet 1965-1968 box set anymore - any indication about others going OOP, and are the new cheaper editions out already? They're not (yet) available here in Germany. Too bad, now that at last I could afford it ... Edited July 14, 2004 by mikeweil Quote
brownie Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 Mike, the new cheaper boxes have been out in the Paris stores since the start of the month. They look cheaper. Did not check the price but doubt they have been downpriced... Quote
king ubu Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 Mike, go the Amazon way! German Amazon has it for 98 Euros. ubu Quote

But here it says: Versandfertig bei Amazon in 2 bis 3 Tagen. You really think they don't have it? Give it a try, and if you don't get a shipping confirmation mail say on Monday, they really don't have it... they won't charge before they ship, I think. ubu Quote

Some of the thoughts there tell me I better save half of the price and wait - I'm not that fanatic for the metal spines. Quote

If they were as accurate as JPC e.g., they would write: Usually ships in 2-3 days, given it is available from the label. That's what it means. I'll take my time .... and clean the salsa die pomodori from my keyboard Of course they do not charge before they ship. I just cannot make up my mind ... Quote

You know, I always get a HUUUUGE uplift when I enter my room and see all those metal spine boxes neatly placed in a row... (will have to do a custom "In a Silent Way" set for me with metal spine some day...) Quote
couw Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 sent to me, I happen to have some molten iron lying around. Quote
