Moreso than Grant, definitely, and maybe even moreso than Burrell. Hall's voicings and Herbie's are often of a similar mind, I think. And they both worked w/Sonny Rollins, remember. I haven't heard Blow Up, but I imagine he was around when Herbie was coming up with the music and he probably was just top of mind as a musician that Herbie wanted to include. The Bill Evans/Jim Hall date 'Undercurrent' was initially recorded for United Artists, not BN, in vinyl days. It was reissued later as a CD on BN.
