Late as ever but very much enjoying 'Queen's Gambit'. And previously 'The Diplomat'.

Neither fill the void left by the ending of 'The Mirror and The Light' but I'm not sure anything is going to. That was superlative television.

Same here. I'm tempted to watch but so many of Marquez's images are the product of my imagination I'm not sure I want to see someone else's interpretation.

Having said that, just upthread I rave about the TV adaptation of the Mantel books that are also amongst my all time favourites

Have only watched the first episode. Would never have worked as a single movie. As a series has the potential to be excellent. Plan to continue forward with further episodes. IMHO you should give it a chance.

Sort of how Shogun worked as a series, but wouldn't have as a "stand alone".
