BbM7 Posted May 5, 2005 Report Posted May 5, 2005 Anyone know anything about this? Newly issued? Re-issue? (I don't recognize the material, but I'm too lazy to do a lot of research right now.) http://www.cduniverse.com/productinfo.asp?...C&frm=em_artist Quote

Spontooneous Posted May 5, 2005 Report Posted May 5, 2005 Sheesh. At my high school we had a quasi-rock band sent by the Navy. Quote
bertrand Posted May 5, 2005 Report Posted May 5, 2005 My former high school has been hosting Andrew White of late - his wife teaches there! Bertrand. Quote
bertrand Posted May 5, 2005 Report Posted May 5, 2005 P.S. Let's rename this thread: 'What famous musicians played at your high school?'. Bertrand. Quote
Dan Gould Posted May 5, 2005 Report Posted May 5, 2005 Issued for the first time around the end of 2002, beginning of 2003. Recorded at a concert at Magleas H.S., Denmark, Aug. 5, 1967. Man, I am P.O'd. When I saw this listed on Alan's site, I was psyched for more, unheard Dex with Kenny Drew. Then I saw the tune list and went, what the fuck? This was just released! For the life of me I can't imagine why this has gone into print, out of print, and been reissued in the space of barely 18 months. Quote
JSngry Posted May 5, 2005 Report Posted May 5, 2005 For the life of me I can't imagine why this has gone into print, out of print, and been reissued in the space of barely 18 months. I knew a few girls in high school to whom much the same thing happened... Quote
wolff Posted May 5, 2005 Report Posted May 5, 2005 Snoop Dogg had a gig at my HS everyday for 3 years. Quote
BbM7 Posted May 6, 2005 Author Report Posted May 6, 2005 Thanks Jim R. for the information. Thanks everyone else for the amusement. Couldn't find this one at AllMusic. Interestingly, the CDUniverse site shows as a studio recording, despite the name. At my highschool: George Clinton! And alum John Handy (as I recall). Quote
brownie Posted May 6, 2005 Report Posted May 6, 2005 A very good Dexter date. Wish the highschool I went to organised a concert like that! Quote
AllenLowe Posted May 6, 2005 Report Posted May 6, 2005 well, Christine Jorgensen lived in my town - but she never performed at my High School - Quote
