mgraham333 Posted June 15, 2005 Report Posted June 15, 2005 I've emailed a catalog request to Fantasy several times - going back way before the buyout - and have never received a response. Do you think I'd have better luck mailing in a request? Quote
Jim R Posted June 15, 2005 Report Posted June 15, 2005 I've emailed a catalog request to Fantasy several times - going back way before the buyout - and have never received a response. ← Same here, and I remember having other e-mails ignored in years past. Do you think I'd have better luck mailing in a request? ← Probably, but you might have to try a couple of times. Their customer service has always been pretty weak (and slow). Quote
Michael Fitzgerald Posted June 15, 2005 Report Posted June 15, 2005 I posted something here a few months back that I asked for a catalog (via the website) and got a 2005 CDROM, plus the old (2002?) printed catalog. Absolutely no complaints from me regarding catalog service. Mike Quote
Ron S Posted June 15, 2005 Report Posted June 15, 2005 (edited) If you have a broadband connection, you might want to download the 2004 catalog as a 23.1 MB PDF. Go to the home page, click on "Catalog", and then place the cursor over the words "Ordering Info" at the bottom of the window. You should then get a pop-up window (make sure any pop-up blocker is disabled) and, if you scroll down to the bottom of that pop-up, you'll see hyperlinks for Mac and Windows download of the 2004 catalog. Incidentally, I also requested a printed catalog through the site, and got no response. Edited June 15, 2005 by Ron S Quote
mgraham333 Posted June 15, 2005 Author Report Posted June 15, 2005 Thanks Ron. Downloading the catalog right now. Quote
LAL Posted June 16, 2005 Report Posted June 16, 2005 A friend e-mailed Fantasy several times for a catalogue and he did eventually receive the '05 CD-ROM and the '02 print copy, but it took them almost a year to mail the items. Quote
Hoppy T. Frog Posted June 16, 2005 Report Posted June 16, 2005 The printed catalogue was ideal bathroom reading... Quote
mikeweil Posted June 16, 2005 Report Posted June 16, 2005 (edited) .... as long as you don't drop it I'd rather get that catalogue in a database format than a pdf file that's a faithful image of the print version - I'd like to search for labels, sidemen, titles ... If there are no indexes provided with a pdf file, searches are rather time consuming. If they treated it like image files, no chance. You get your info faster with a rip of the entire Fantasy website and a power serach in that part of your hard disc where you store it. Of course the printed catalogues reading - I too get them whenever I can. I prefer to read them on the balcony -_- Edited June 16, 2005 by mikeweil Quote
bertrand Posted June 16, 2005 Report Posted June 16, 2005 First the Koran, now the Fantasy catalogue - what else are people going to try to flush? Quote

sidewinder Posted June 16, 2005 Report Posted June 16, 2005 Just clearing out a load of old paperwork in the study I came across a copy of this Fantasy Catalogue. Never even realised I had it ! Incredible the range of music in there. I've always found Fantasy very helpful in the past (particularly Terry Hinte). Beyond the call of duty in terms of level of help. Quote
jlhoots Posted June 16, 2005 Report Posted June 16, 2005 (edited) They have never responded to 3 requests from me. Edited June 16, 2005 by jlhoots Quote
