Tommy Flanagan - Confirmation

David Murray - Now is Another Time

David Murray/Dave Burrell - Windward Passages (this appears to have no direct connection with Burrell's original Windward Passages)

Red Garland - Rojo

Red Garland - Manteca

Fathead Newman - Diamondhead

Jim Hall - Jazzpar Quartet + 4

Willis Jackson - Gravy

Hank Jones - Compassion (Black and Blue)

I've tried to add all the Definitive Black and Blue titles to a list (the jazz, not the blues), not sure how to link to it.

The list is Black and Blue under my nickname Emusic-ejp

There are 32 titles, though this isn't everything by Black and Blue. I know at least one Cat Anderson is missing. But there is some great stuff, and I will try to grab them all before too long.

Bob Brookmeyer - Live at Sandy's

Desert island disc for me. Deep, swingin' playing, great writing . . . TEXTBOOK example of how to arrange creatively for a jazz quartet . . . a LOT of chance taking but in a quiet, accessible way . . . Michael Moore at the very top of his form . . . and a window into what might have happened if Philly Joe had left the Bill Evans Trio instead of Michael Moore.

As we speak, I'm listening to a pretty nice set from Jack Sheldon. It's called, Playing For Change. Nothing fancy. Just a nice mix. Some pretty fair sidekicks on board as those things go; Jerry Dodgion, Barry Harris, Rufus Reid and Ben Riley. Recommended.

Up over and out.

someday I'm gonna sign up to this e-music stuff...

...when I can trust myself with it...

the nice thing is, because it's a subscription, you know how much you're spending a month and sometimes you can really get a ton of much if you find albums with long tracks. Of course, you do have to avoid the temptation of the booster pack... :D

75 downloads for 19.99 which is kind of too much but based on the 120 records in my saved for later list obviously not enough.
