Hardbopjazz Posted February 15, 2006 Report Posted February 15, 2006 Since this forum houses many musicians, I was wondering if we could have some kind of a musical challenge. We would each write a tune, record it if we can, and maybe post it somewhere so that others taking part can listen. We would have those not competing pick the winner. It could be something you've already written, just make it something original. Do you think this is possible? Quote
JSngry Posted February 15, 2006 Report Posted February 15, 2006 Only if catesta gets to pick the Ring Girls. Quote
Alexander Posted February 16, 2006 Report Posted February 16, 2006 Is someone asking for a CHALLENGE!!!!????? Quote
Free For All Posted February 16, 2006 Report Posted February 16, 2006 It always makes me think of.... Quote
Hardbopjazz Posted February 16, 2006 Author Report Posted February 16, 2006 (edited) I guess no one is up for the challenge. What's the word.?.. wussy. Edited February 16, 2006 by Hardbopjazz Quote
JSngry Posted February 16, 2006 Report Posted February 16, 2006 All I asked for is Ring Girls. The rest of the details can be worked out. Have your people call my people. You'll find them to be quite reasonable when it comes to things like appearance fees and sharing publishing points of everybody's pieces. And don't let them bluff you with the "win or lose, Jim takes everybody's points" bullshit. That's just a negotiating strategy I tell them to use to seperate the pretenders from the players. They'll come down to as low as 75% if you string'em along just right. Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted February 16, 2006 Report Posted February 16, 2006 I guess no one is up for the challenge. What's the word.?.. wussy. Hey man, Joe and I have two CDs worth of our compositions out there. What you got? Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted February 16, 2006 Report Posted February 16, 2006 Y'all got Ring Girls? No, but we have the boogaloo sisters and they dance like crazy. Is that good enough? Quote
JSngry Posted February 16, 2006 Report Posted February 16, 2006 (edited) It depends. Can they be Ring Girls as good as they can be boogaloo sisters? Remember, Archie Bell & The Drells could dance just as good as they walk. The bar is high. Edited February 16, 2006 by JSngry Quote

catesta Posted February 16, 2006 Report Posted February 16, 2006 Only if catesta gets to pick the Ring Girls. Done. Quote
JSngry Posted February 16, 2006 Report Posted February 16, 2006 I think you can do better, my friend. For starters, I want her: Here's her crew: Yhe others are optional, but either she makes the gig, or else there is no gig. Quote
catesta Posted February 16, 2006 Report Posted February 16, 2006 Dude, you have no idea how close I was to posting that very pic and a couple other a little more risque as well. I obviously was going the more commercial ring girls route. You've got to admit they are cute. Anyways, It appears the challenge has begun. Quote
Joe G Posted February 17, 2006 Report Posted February 17, 2006 I must admit, I'm starting to get a little, um... inspired. Quote

GregN Posted February 17, 2006 Report Posted February 17, 2006 Only if catesta gets to pick the Ring Girls. Done. I was just getting ready to say that music ought not be a competition...but hell, bring it on boys. Quote
Alexander Posted February 17, 2006 Report Posted February 17, 2006 Only if catesta gets to pick the Ring Girls. Done. The one in the center and the one on the left look like they're one paycheck away from doing porn. The one on the right looks like she just wandered in and somebody said, "Hey! Try on this outfit!" Not that there's anything wrong with that... Quote
