JSngry Posted April 1, 2006 Report Posted April 1, 2006 Surely this company/site/whatever is a dark joke, but I'm at the point in my life where I no longer feel an obligation to be amused by such things, even "in theory". So, simply put - No. But that's just me. Quote

Guest Posted April 1, 2006 Report Posted April 1, 2006 I don't think you guys should dismiss this idea so quickly..... Quote
Jazzmoose Posted April 2, 2006 Report Posted April 2, 2006 That teenager cage alone could prevent a lot of stress at home... Quote
RDK Posted April 3, 2006 Report Posted April 3, 2006 My wife and i have long thought (well since our own kids were born at least) that Lo-jack for infants/kids would be a great idea. Quote
Bright Moments Posted April 1, 2007 Author Report Posted April 1, 2007 um..................................................APRIL FOOLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! again!!! Quote
BruceH Posted April 2, 2007 Report Posted April 2, 2007 This reminds me that toddler leashes are REAL. Quote
RDK Posted April 2, 2007 Report Posted April 2, 2007 Seriously, though - they have Lo-jacks for your pets, why not for your kids? Quote
jazzypaul Posted April 2, 2007 Report Posted April 2, 2007 This reminds me that toddler leashes are REAL. I don't really see a problem with kid "harnesses." Actually seems pretty brilliant. Quote

Can you hook them to a sled? I see a historical iditerod! Ya' might lose but you'd be in the "news" - Paul Harvey would talk about you. Quote

Jazzmoose Posted April 3, 2007 Report Posted April 3, 2007 First time I saw one of those (kid leashes), I was appalled. But after thinking about it, why not? We have a population that is (for the most part needlessly) worried about abduction by strangers, so I guess it makes sense to keep the little rugrats close... Quote
Guy Berger Posted April 3, 2007 Report Posted April 3, 2007 The baby cage thing was a funny joke, but putting kids in leashes (in the real world) is fucked up! Guy Quote
RDK Posted April 3, 2007 Report Posted April 3, 2007 Paul Harvey would talk about you. The real Paul Harvey or the younger guy who fills in, talks just like him, and tries to make the ol' geezers who listen think he is Paul Harvey? G'day... Quote
(BB) Posted April 3, 2007 Report Posted April 3, 2007 I rarely use the cage, unless the tyke pulls hard on the leash and spills my beer. Quote
ejp626 Posted April 3, 2007 Report Posted April 3, 2007 (edited) The baby cage thing was a funny joke, but putting kids in leashes (in the real world) is fucked up! Guy I thought that too until I had a 2-year old that liked to squirm out of my grip when we were walking. He hasn't yet tried to run into the street, but I wouldn't be surprised if it did happen. This is particularly a problem in places like Chicago with narrow sidewalks and heavy traffic. In my view, the leash is a compromise but it is better than strapping him into a stroller everywhere.
