md655321 Posted June 1, 2006 Report Posted June 1, 2006 Maybe the Pistons were getting bored beating Shaq in the playoffs over and over again. thats what im talkin about Jim! Quote
connoisseur series500 Posted June 1, 2006 Report Posted June 1, 2006 Tayshaun does it again! He is by far....by FAR my favorite NBA player. I believe when Tay hangs up his NBA shoes after a long and productive career, he will find himself in the NBA Hall of Fame. He is so MF smart and cool...it's not funny! Heat still in the driver's seat. If they lose game 6, it will warrant a long think. Hmmm.... Quote
Soulstation1 Posted June 1, 2006 Author Report Posted June 1, 2006 gotta give it up that was a nice mf block on my boy :bwallace2: Quote
Noj Posted June 1, 2006 Report Posted June 1, 2006 As much as I'm willing to give a defender the benefit of the doubt for getting the ball up top, any other player making that much body contact with a player in the act of shooting gets called for the foul. That was home cookin', folks. Nice toss by Crawford on the ensuing jump ball, too. That said, I can see the Pistons winning the next two to go on to the Finals. Quote

md655321 Posted June 1, 2006 Report Posted June 1, 2006 You can see where Ben's leg is in those shorts, going straight up and not even close to Shaq. By body contact, I assume you mean their knees barely touching? Quote
Noj Posted June 1, 2006 Report Posted June 1, 2006 No, I mean Ben's hip hitting Shaq's body before he ever touches the ball. If you watch the youtube clip, the announcer even starts to say, "lots of contact." Quote
Soulstation1 Posted June 1, 2006 Author Report Posted June 1, 2006 NoJJJy i noticed that jump-ball toss Quote
Soulstation1 Posted June 1, 2006 Author Report Posted June 1, 2006 watch ben's left hand in shaq's ribs.... LOL Quote

Frankly, the way they have been calling these games, I'm surprised it wasn't. But c'mon... Shaq gets away with using his off-arm to hook people on almost every play (not to mention elbowing Ben in the face repeatedly). Ben was owed one. Quote
Noj Posted June 1, 2006 Report Posted June 1, 2006 Shaq bodied Ben clear out of the lane on the very next time down court. Could have been an offensive foul. The officiating has been atrociously inconsistent all playoffs long. The NBA wants a long playoff series, not a sweep. The teams ultimately decide games, but the officials do all they can to try and make these things go seven games. Quote

If you watch the youtube clip, the announcer even starts to say, "lots of contact." I think the announcer was referring to Shaq pushing R. Wallace out of the way before Big Ben came over and stuffed his dunk attempt. Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted June 1, 2006 Report Posted June 1, 2006 LOL, I remember this game: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rn0GKCsmGTM Quote

LOL NO MORE CRYIN' Shaq has been elbowing the shit out of people and using the wrap around arm on his close in spin moves. :bwallace2: Quote
Soulstation1 Posted June 1, 2006 Author Report Posted June 1, 2006 TNT should have CB uncensored Quote
Noj Posted June 1, 2006 Report Posted June 1, 2006 Hey, I'm just a neutral observer. I couldn't care less who wins this series. I'm just saying, if Shaq clobbers someone, call a foul. When Shaq gets clobbered, call a foul. When it's a jump ball, throw the ball straight up. :bwallace2: Quote

However, since the game is not played that way or should I say ref'ed that way, then we as observers have to acknowledge when we are crying and when we are not..... hee hee It did sound like you were all for Shaq (even though I know you are a Laker fan) and he is no longer a Laker. How you doing on points in the pool anyway.... I lost track of mine when the Clippers got knocked out. Quote
Noj Posted June 1, 2006 Report Posted June 1, 2006 I still haven't added up my points, but I had the Spurs so figure I'm toast. Quote
Tjazz Posted June 1, 2006 Report Posted June 1, 2006 Wow, that Big Ben Block on Shaq says it all. Heat in 6. Heat all the way. (does anybody watch the Suns/Mavs?) Quote
Big Al Posted June 1, 2006 Report Posted June 1, 2006 (does anybody watch the Suns/Mavs?) YES!!!!! Quote
BruceW Posted June 1, 2006 Report Posted June 1, 2006 If Mavs don't win tonight, they will have blown it. Quote
