Dan Gould Posted July 1, 2006 Report Posted July 1, 2006 guys, cut the crap. I don't understand why Couw feels the need to defend this guy. He cheated another board member. To me, that calls for virtual banishment in itself, not to mention all the other offensive tactics. I'd be livid if I got cheated by a board member; and would remind others of this fact. Trust is everything on this board, and I buy and sell a lot of stuff here. Well, to be honest, it gets a little annoying. Guy What gets annoying? The cheating? Or the constant puerile chatter from this man? No, what bothers Guy is the perpetual calling him out on the cheating and puerile chatter.
Soulstation1 Posted July 1, 2006 Report Posted July 1, 2006 Couw what is your problem? i wish you'd stop calling me out..... if you have a proble with me, please PM me and explain what your deal is if not, next time, i won't be as nice SS1
Soulstation1 Posted July 1, 2006 Report Posted July 1, 2006 (edited) Rule # 1 Jim said don't ask for cdrs Dumb-ass broke the rule, plain and simple i spent 1/2 minute looking for the cd and found it why doesn't AE spend the money and set up his own jazz web site? that way he can rant and rave in his drug induced hazes and rip off people on his own site or is he still using the "I'm a poor student excuse and still living off mommy and daddy" oh my bad, he did have the mobley site and someone jacked it up.... probably someone else AE ripped off, that was Mother Fuckin' funny did he ever apologize to Jim for posting pornographic pictues on this site? or the fact he threaten to kill me and my family and then sue me? AE is and always will be a MF Joke, how many times can someone be banned from jazz sites? then sneek back in, like nothing happened...... within a month, he'll fly off the handle and say something stupid then get banned for the 5th or 6th time and beg for one more chance Edited July 1, 2006 by Soulstation1

Or the constant puerile chatter from this man? No, what bothers Guy is the perpetual calling him out on the cheating and puerile chatter. What bothers me besides the cheating and the puerile chatter is the obvious dumbing-down of the board resulting from all this. It is of importance to all of us. Just that stupid name, "Chewy-Chew....whatever" serves to demean the board. I realize public fora will attract all types, but this guy/kid wore out his welcome already, and took a second chance. How is it annoying to jump on him for publicly requesting a cd-r? Of course his checkered past regarding cheating a board member is inevitably brought up as well. That's the way it goes when you cheat others and develop a bad reputation. I have made sales and trades with SS1; and, of course, I also know him fairly well. He is not a cheater or "shady."
etherbored Posted July 1, 2006 Report Posted July 1, 2006 now remind me again why it is that some members just don't contribute that much to the proceedings around here...? ah, gotcha! -e- ps: michael brecker once told me "jazz eats its own".
connoisseur series500 Posted July 1, 2006 Report Posted July 1, 2006 (edited) Allow me to remind some of you of this also.... Chewy posts his puerile crap and nobody says anything. We all leave him alone. But when he has the effrontery to publicly ask for cd-rs; or even has the gall to post on the offering/looking for section that's when we jump on him. Mark Sheldon trades a lot of cds here as well. He had every right to comment on Chewy's commercial integrity. I do the same. We have no ebay feedback system here. It's all a matter of commercial honor. I will vigorously protest any request on this part of the forum from anyone with stained commercial integrity. Let Chewy post his crap on other threads. I'll happily ignore him on those, as I have been doing. This is not persecution, guys; this is public policing of trading integrity on this section of the board. chewy-chew-chew-bean-benitez Posted July 1, 2006 Author Report Posted July 1, 2006 u guys were all just waiting to pounce on me. i dont even need the cd that bad just forget it. my jazz collection is better than any of you guys anyone. i have live bootlegs of mobley, like 50 bootlegs of warne, tons of live miles and like 25 live bootleg art pepper cds so i dont even need u guys for a second
andybleaden Posted July 1, 2006 Report Posted July 1, 2006 actually they were just giving you advice so as not to cause the board trouble with people asking for cdrs of availble cds. You are not the first person that they have reminded and I am sure that you will not be the last. It does seem however that you have 'issues' with a few people that perhaps you need to settle. Don't seem that hard to see to me. I am very gald that you have lots of lovely cds and bootlegs. Well done.
chewy-chew-chew-bean-benitez Posted July 1, 2006 Author Report Posted July 1, 2006 there is a good portion of the jazz public who feels trading recordings-- ANY recordings of our great dear departed jazz heroes should be dissmenated as cheaply and quickly as possible. in my thread i was hoping id catch the few here on this board to send blanks to. but now i see its frowned upon at this particular place and fine i wont bring up cdrs in a public post again.

Why don't you THINK just a little bit for once? This is a board set up by a group of WORKING musicians who are trying to make something happen for themselves in a very tough industry/environment. Do you think they need to have people openly violating copyright laws on their site? I know what the problem here is: THINKING and WORKING are two activities that are completely alien to you.
