Eric Dolphy - Out To Lunch RvG Original Liner Notes Not Complete

while shopping for the new RvG's, I bought Eric Dolphy's "Out To Lunch" (also RvG),

and while listening to it, I noticed the original liner notes aren't complete.

Does it sound familiair? Did it happen with all of them?

Does it happen a lot with Blue Note (RvG) reissues?

Maybe somebody can enlighten me?

Which reminds me of something more recent - are the liner notes in

the US edition of Charles Earland's Black Talk RVG complete? All the copies

I've seen on sale in Germany cut the notes off in mid-sentence.

Can't imagine how something like

don't get it...

ohhhhhhhh, yes,

now I get it...

hehehe

I'm with Chuck on that one - LP and CD reissue. The notes for the CD are the same as for the LP.

Dig that bass clarinet/ bass unison at the end of the second track!

but the RvG has also the "a new look at Out To Lunch"- lines notes,

next to the original lines notes (only 2 pages on my CD)

On my european RVG pressing as well, the reproduction of the original liner notes is incomplete.

It ends in the description of the title track, with the sentense "Even though the rhythm section breaks the time up, there is a basic pulse coming from" . So the description of the last track and a conclusion is missing.

Oh, that's what you meant. We all thought you meant the original (LP) notes. Those are the only ones that I need. But I do have the RVG CD, and I don't recall any missing notes.

Well, I do mean the original (LP) Notes, the new notes next to it are complete.

But accordinging to the copmment here, it's only in the european version.

I took it back to the store, and ordered me an US version through internet.
