Shawn Posted August 8, 2007 Report Posted August 8, 2007 Please, can anybody help me with the answers to these? I never understood this stuff.... (-17) - (-22) = 8 (6-5) + 10 = 4(-2)² + 8(-2) + 3(-2) + 6 = (1/3)(9)³ = -11(3/2)(.12(-12)) = 30 + (.0825 x 30) + (15% x 30) = 598% / 26% = 4/5 + 3/4 = THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!! Quote
Soulstation1 Posted August 8, 2007 Report Posted August 8, 2007 (edited) 1. = 5 2. = 18 8. = 31/20 ??? Edited August 8, 2007 by Soulstation1 Quote
Aggie87 Posted August 8, 2007 Report Posted August 8, 2007 4(-2)² + 8(-2) + 3(-2) + 6 = 16 - 16 - 6 + 6 = 0 (1/3)(9)³ = 1/3 (729) = 243 -11(3/2)(.12(-12)) = -11 (1.5)(-1.44) = 23.76 30 + (.0825 x 30) + (15% x 30) = 30 + 2.475 + 4.5 = 36.975 598% / 26% = 23 4/5 + 3/4 = 16/20 + 15/20 = 31/20 = 1.55 Quote

Niko Posted August 8, 2007 Report Posted August 8, 2007 (edited) as a child i had a book where the main character's job was to perform calculations like these... from time to time his boss came by to check that he wasn't using a calculator - back then i didn't believe that jobs in the "real" grown up world were like that... (i've known for some time that i was at least partially wrong but) i hope very much that your job isn't like this Edited August 8, 2007 by Niko Quote
