I just bought this CD from another forum member and I'm looking forward to hearing it.

I have another CD by Takase called "St Louis Blues" with a similar concept and similar lineup (no trumpet, Fred Firth plays guitar). They cover some W.C. Handy tunes on this one. Really good listening for my taste and alot of fun. The piano is very good here also and I really like Rudi Mahall's playing. I want to check him out further too.

Takase and Mahall have a duet recording. I heard most of the recording and what I heard sounded good. Mahall can also be heard with Der Rote Bereich

I have this one on cd and same goes with St. Louis Blues. Takase is a very fine player. Highly recommended!
