The check went into the mail today! :g

I've heard several recordings of them together (unreleased stuff, live tapes) and they really seem to inspire each other. They don't have the elaborate arrangements of J&K, but they each get their moments to shine. There always seems to be a feeling that they're having a great time, and their contrasting styles really complement each other. Jazz trombone at its best IMHO. I'm really looking forward to checking this out.

They appear together on Bill Holman's "In a Jazz Orbit" and also Bobby Knight's "Cream of the Crop" but they don't interact much on those. It's great to hear them playing off of each other, as I expect will be the case on this release.

BTW, the recording date puts it about three and a half months before Frank's death.

Thanks again for making this happen , Chuck! I will do my best to spread the word amongst my fellow trombonists (and others).
