JSngry Posted September 14, 2008 Author Report Posted September 14, 2008 Oh c'mon, somebody please look at this one. It's a hoot from start to finish! Quote
Free For All Posted September 14, 2008 Report Posted September 14, 2008 I checked it out. Very funny dialogue, and the commercials are hilarious too. The car accident special effects were stunning! Quote
JSngry Posted September 14, 2008 Author Report Posted September 14, 2008 Dude, how about that real-life celebrity chef commercial that comes out of nowhere? AWESOME! Quote
Free For All Posted September 14, 2008 Report Posted September 14, 2008 The real Chef Boyardee! That was from the time when it was a big deal to be able to make a spaghetti dinner from a package. I still like the Chef Boyardee pizza sauce, though. Probably because I grew up with it. I love 50s TV. Quote
Joe G Posted September 14, 2008 Report Posted September 14, 2008 Soaps haven't changed all that much. Just more sex (and less organ). I liked the Chef. Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted September 14, 2008 Report Posted September 14, 2008 Just more sex (and less organ). Quote
catesta Posted September 14, 2008 Report Posted September 14, 2008 Thanks for posting up that piece of history, Jim. Quote
Joe G Posted September 14, 2008 Report Posted September 14, 2008 Some good lines: "the exciting story of Vanessa Dale, and her courageous struggle for human dignity." "and to top it off, a whole can of zippy (?) grated cheese, a wonderful food." :rsmile: "probably having an ice-cream soda with that wild roomate of his!" "and that is so unlike Vanessa... and this awareness of danger may well mean new explosions." <clears throat> neuritis and neuralgia? Never heard of them. Quote
Joe G Posted September 14, 2008 Report Posted September 14, 2008 Just more sex (and less organ). You missed your calling. Quote
Ted O'Reilly Posted September 14, 2008 Report Posted September 14, 2008 Hmmm...I wonder if that was Dick Hyman's organ. (So to speak). He was around then, playing lots of live shows. And don't forget -- that was all live, commercials, too... Quote
Rooster_Ties Posted September 17, 2008 Report Posted September 17, 2008 Seemed like a good thread to post this in... Singer John Gary plays "Do Re Me" with a Bow and Arrow (1966) Quote
