connoisseur series500 Posted October 31, 2003 Report Posted October 31, 2003 Let's hear it: who has kids and who dresses up on Halloween? I've got an 11 year old and I've got as much Halloween spirit as he does. I take him around with a bunch of his friends and I have this cool mask of an ugly cyclops. It scares women into dropping their entire candy bowl into my entourage's super-sized bags. Quote
jacman Posted October 31, 2003 Report Posted October 31, 2003 my 4 year old daughter has a black gown and a purple sparkle skull mask. she is very excited. i'm going as a cigar smoking fat guy. Quote
Alexander Posted October 31, 2003 Report Posted October 31, 2003 I'm sitting at work, even as I type this, wearing a pair of bunny ears. My daughter is going out as Snow White tonight. My wife will be handling the candy duty. Hoppy Halloween! Quote
connoisseur series500 Posted October 31, 2003 Report Posted October 31, 2003 (edited) My daughter is going out as Snow White tonight. My wife will be handling the candy duty. No Rosa Luxembourg costume? Sorry Alex, dumb joke. Happy Halloween to you and your family. Edited October 31, 2003 by connoisseur series500 Quote
Alexander Posted October 31, 2003 Report Posted October 31, 2003 (edited) I REALLY thought it would be cute to dress my daughter as Hester Prynne...you know, little pilgrim costume with a big red "A" on the front. But my wife nixed that idea. Didn't think it would be "appropriate." I still think it would be funny! Edited October 31, 2003 by Alexander Quote
connoisseur series500 Posted October 31, 2003 Report Posted October 31, 2003 I can see your wife carries the level head in the family. Thank God she put her foot down on that one! Quote
vajerzy Posted October 31, 2003 Report Posted October 31, 2003 My little girl is going as a bumblebee...she has a little stinger on the back and she turns around and backs into people with it, singing "I'm picking up a baby bumblebee....." We're going to a mall- we live in a rural area where homes are far apart- nearest neighbor is 3/10 mile away, and we have a 300 foot driveway uphill......safe to say no one will come by..... Everyone have a safe halloween! Quote
BERIGAN Posted October 31, 2003 Report Posted October 31, 2003 I love it when the 25 year olds come by our house Wish I had done that.... Quote
AfricaBrass Posted October 31, 2003 Report Posted October 31, 2003 I hope you all have today! My son is going out trick-or-treating for the first time tonight. He's going as Winnie the Pooh. My wife got him this crazy costume where he essentially is Pooh Bear, it looks like something you'd see at Disneyland on the characters, but there is a hole where his face sticks out, other than that, he's completely Pooh Bear. It's pretty funny. Quote
Man with the Golden Arm Posted October 31, 2003 Report Posted October 31, 2003 My two girls are going trick or treating tonite. The oldest at eight decided to be Santa and the just six is going to be a reindeer. My wife puts together a great Santa Suit a couple of weeks ago. So I go to Walmart and find a brownish hooded pullover and last nite apply some furry felt to the belly, make tri-color felt tubes stretched around sweatbands with a v-notch in them for hooves that just slip onto the wrists and still allow full hand mobility, stuff and apply a nice little two tone tail, hot melt and stitch a set of lined ears to the hood and then hot melt some more felt together for big antlers that I had to stuff with a chop-stick. Freakin' cute as Rudolph's red nose... and now what do I hear from the front today ? is that they are going as something else cause the oldest doesn't want to be Santa Claus anymore. Hot melt is not the best for fine seamstress work...going to play 'Helter Skelter' tonight. And I'm gonna eat all her candy! Quote
